Hubert Horatio: A Very Fishy Tale: World Book Day 2019
Author: Lauren Child
I like this author, as I read the Charlie and Lola books when i was younger, and my younger sister still reads them. The illustrations are the same, which is good, as it was one thing I enjoyed when reading this author's books. It was easy to read, not very long, and I thought the author did a great job, writing such a great story in as short length as it was. It was funny, especially the bit when the old lady thought Hubert was a talking fish. I liked how the text changed, when Hubert was whizzing down the road in his pram, the text was written in different directions to match what was happening, which i found interesting. What happened to Hubert was unfortunate, but I was glad he was ok and clever enough to get himself out of the mess and back to his parents, without them even realising what an adventure he had had.

The Great Rocket Robbery: World Book Day 2019
Author: Frank Cottrell Boyce Illustrator: Steven Lenton
I really enjoy books with animals in, and I really liked that the story was told by the dog, it made it more interesting, than if it was just told from a person's point of view. I liked the adventure in the story, and parts of it really made me laugh, such as when 2 dogs climbed into the spacesuit to make it look like a human walking.

Everdark: World Book Day 2019
Author: Abi Elphinstone
I didn't get into this story straight away. There was a lot to get your head around, and a lot to remember, to understand the story. I liked that it was very descriptive, and from the way it was written, you could imagine exactly how things would be. This was very helpful as there were no illustrations. I also enjoyed the enchanted element of the book, which is quite new to me, as i don't normally read books like this. A great book for girls and boys.

Vile Victorians
Author: Terry Deary Illustrator: Martin Brown
I have read a few of the horrible histories books, and I really enjoy them. I love the foul facts, it makes learning about boring things, fun. It has a few black and white illustrations, but I don't focus on them much. I liked reading about the victorian schools, and I liked the quiz at the end.

Alienated: Grounded at Groom Lake

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting, funny, and I liked the sci-fi. I really liked the character Octo, as he was very funny. I also liked the aliens. This was a fun, cool book to read
