The Amazing Dinosaur Detectives is a fun and informative insight into the inner and outer world of everything dinosaur. We all know that the dinosaurs walked the Earth millions of years ago, but we're going to break the myths behind their extinction.

Some dinosaurs had amazing teeth, claws, scales and hidden talents. Even though most were smaller than the T-Rex, they could outwit them and stay on top. You may think we're joking when we say Gigantosaurus, but we're not - there really was such a thing and we're going to get to the bottom of what it looked like and how it survived in such a hostile world.

Explore fossils, see how long the dinosaurs actually lived on Earth (compared to us!) and see what the Earth actually looked like in their time. Which dinosaur was the longest? Which was the fastest? Which was the loudest? Find out who was a clever dinosaur, and who was not...

We reveal the hidden talents of their daily lives, what they ate and how they ate it, how they entertained themselves, how they battled with each other, how they made their homes and what eventually caused their demise.

Following on from BUG DETECTIVE and THE AMAZING HUMAN BODY DETECTIVES, this follows the same interesting, fun and quirky look at the dinosaur in all its shapes and sizes. Hidden elements appear on every page making this interactive and enjoyable. This series looks at the facts as well as dispelling the myths.

This an awesome book! It is full of information about dinosaurs that is presented in a fun and engaging way. The pictures are quite funny, facts are presented in small bite size pieces and there are quizzes and questions throughout.  My 8 year old ran off with it as soon as it arrived and did lots of the activities that are at the back of the book. My four year old was happy to sit with me while I read the book to him. Both loved it : )

I love all things dinosaurs, so I was very happy with this book. There were plenty of facts and learnt some new information also, so that was really good. It was easy to read independently and I liked that there was activities to do such as wordsearches and spot the differences. The ilustrations were fab, and I loved the game at the end that I could play with my mom and dad or sister, which was a bit like snakes and ladders but with a dinosaur theme. It came with a little magnifying glass you could look through, which I thought was good. I also liked that certain dinosaurs got awards for different things, such as the longest neck, the fastest dinosaur, etc. It was a very interesting book that I really enjoyed and would give 10/10

This book was so much better than as a Mum to 2 huge dinosaur fans could have ever even asked for, lovely illustrations, witty humour, amazing facts and lots of activities and a board game at the back. We had to incorporate a second magnifying glass as both boys wanted to use the one that comes with the book (it's neatly attached to the front cover under sticky tape so there's always a place for it when the book is not in use), we've spent several nights reading and playing and both boys absolutely love the book

This is a brilliant book! Leo and Georgie couldn't wait to hear the next fact and then turn the page to find what was next. They loved the magnifying glass included with the book which definitely helped to keep their attention. Georgie loved spotting the gold medal winners of the different categories in the book and Leo loved naming the different dinosaurs.
The pictures were interesting with lots of detail and lots of things to spot.
I also learned all sorts of new information!

This is a fantastic book with a variety of interesting dinosaur facts and lovely illustrations. We have dipped in to the odd page as well as Sat and read the whole thing. My only criticism is the bizarre magnifying glass that doesn't seem to relate to anything in the book nor does it stay secure once you've removed it for the first time. It was a confusing addition to a book that was enough on its own without the gimmick

A great book to introduce young children to dinosaurs, full to the brim of exciting dinosaur facts. It brings so much fun to learning and although my son is a little young to understand all the facts just yet it's still a big hit with him. A book we will be reading and learning from for years to come.

This is nice mixture of facts and games that are really easy for little ones to get involved with.  We liked that the facts were all quite "bite sized" so you could pick the book up and down and use it in short bursts.  The game at the back with simple and fun and Lucas really enjoyed the spot the difference puzzle.  I was a bit puzzled by the reference to a magnifying glass on the front cover but then I realised that there was a fairly flimsy thing under some clear film.  To be honest I thought the magnifying glass was a bit pointless.  There aren't any particularly tiny things to spot in the book and I could see it getting lost or damaged really quickly.  All in all though it was a fun, well illustrated book that taught us all a thing or two!
