Tom Gates meets Blackadder in a hilarious and highly-illustrated medieval romp for boys and girls aged 7+. Perfect for fans of David Walliams, Horrible Histories and the Barry Loser series.

When evil Baron Dennis visits Sedric's muddy peasant village to ask about everyone's feelings, Sedric is very suspicious. And when a hairy giant troll called Vlad the Bad comes maurading through the village at night, Sedric knows there's definitely something fishy going on. And it's not just the peasants' feet.

The grown ups are up in arms and all want to flee their hovels straight away. But Sedric can't risk having to stay with his smelly Uncle Bile and not being able to hang out with friends every day so it's up to the gang to solve the mystery of the invasion of the hairy troll before it's too late!

A hilarious madcap adventure that young fans of Cressida Cowell's How to Train Your Dragon and Emer Stamp's Unbelievable Top Secret Diary of Pig will adore.

Have you collected all of Sedric's adventures?

This is the second book in the series about Sedric the main character and his friends Verucca, Eg, Urk and Robin all who live in the dark ages. In this story Sergeant Hengist and the Baran trick Sedric and his fellow villagers into leaving their little village so they can live in it.  All sorts of things happen when they leave including Sedrics little brother going missing and an encounter with Vlad the bad.    I liked this book because its very funny, the pictures break it up and it kept me reading. I am not very good at completing books and this one I did.  I liked the trolls too

This book is about a group of friends living in a medieval town called Little-soggy-in-the-mud. The story follows Sedric and his gang as they try and capture a giant hairy troll. The book is really funny and full of adventure. It was easy to read and I enjoyed all the pictures that went with the story they made it more fun to read. I could easily read this on my own. My favourite characters were Sedric and Verucca.

Set in the medieval times, in the village of Little-soggy-in-the-mud, where The main character Sedric and his family and friends live. A scary, hairy troll is sent to the village by Vlad the Bad, and all the grown ups are threatening to leave. Sedric doesn't want to not see his friends everyday, so it's up to Sedric to solve the mystery and capture this troll. It was an easy read, a funny book and the illustrations were funny. I read it quite quickly as I wanted to keep reading to see what would happen.
