Really good. I read this in just a couple of sittings as I really wanted to find out what happened to the characters.

A bit different and sometimes unexpected.

Great illustrations.

I have to admit that i am such a fusspot with book artwork and even though i thought the cover was a bit cool i wasn't entirely convinced that i would enjoy this book so i kept putting off reading it.. i was completely wrong and i absolutely LOVED this book. I read it all in one go and i am ready for the next instalment.

Where i thought it was going to be a bit childish, it was actually very fun. Where i couldn't work out where the story was going to go, the twist actually surprised and entertained me. Lesson: do not judge a book by it's cover.

A great, fun story with fantastic illustrations.

Firstly, when I received this book, it looked like quite a childish book. However, as I progressed deeper into the book, the story kept me gripped and the quips were hilarious. The idea of a demonic boyband that wants to start the apocalypse, was so queer, it was funny. In fact, after reading this book, I now feel I understand the way bands work much, much better!

It is down to Sam to save the world from the evil boyband. I did like Sam, and he made me laugh when he  decided to become a boyband member, even though he cant dance or sing. I liked that hes just an ordinary boy. The illustrations were great. The audition part was funny. I liked Sam's family as well, especially his sister. It was easy to read and it didnt take me long as I didnt want to put it down.

A nice book with plenty of plot twists, kept me on the edge of my seat, anticipating something that happened to be another thing completely different.

Boyband of the Apocalypse is about a boyband of supernatural creatures who want to destroy the world. The members of Apocalips are Pete, Donnie, Warren, Frankie and Steve. Steve is a mortal and everyone else is immortal. Apocalips use mind control to get people to love them because they feed off everyones love.Apocalips hold auditions for a new lead singer. Sam needs to get in the band to find out Apocalips' evil schemes and put them to an end. After a rollercoaster of tasks apocalips finally have a new lead singer Sam,a teenage boy. He finds out something he shouldn't. Apocalips are holding a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME show. No one knows is they are going to reveal their true identities and destroy the universe. Can Sam, lexi and Milo can they stop them and can Milo overcome one of his biggest fears... Singing in public! My favourite character is Milo because he is clever and intelligent. He also is quite scared of doing anything because he thinks people are watching or listening. However, he is one of the heros in the story because he is the one who got Sam or Sammy into Apocalips in the first place. My favourite part is when I found out Apocalips were actually the Heatherstones. It was also good because it explains why they were all saying I think Pete, Donnie, Frankie and Warren are the best at the start. I liked it because is was the biggest of all the twists in the story. My favourite books al have many twist that lead up to one big twist like this book.I would recommend this book to all my friends and family. I would recommend it to year 5 up over. It was amazing! The only way it could be improved is adding more twists and more chapters.

I would rate this book 10/10 because it was full of twists and turns. It was also very easy to understand what was happening at that moment in time. I also liked the vocabulary used in the story.

A hilarious take on the classic boyband cliches.  This is sure to be loved equally by anyone who follows a boyband themselves or by anyone who is a little cynical about the power they wield.  Full of jokes, pop culture references and disastrous plans, I would definitely recommend this to readers aged 9+.
