I really liked this book, it had some great ideas in it, and a good recipe for my Mum to try as she is vegetarian. I think this book has lots of good ideas for us to try as a family. It is a bright, colourful book, which is laid out in an easy to read format, and the instructions are set out with pictures nicely. I think it's good that there are books about saving our planet and nature. We are members of RSPB and Suffolk Wildlife, so already enjoy nature, but this book has given us some new ideas about how to recycle in different ways, and how to spread the word to other people about doing there bit to help save our planet. It has a lot of interesting information too. Thank you Topsta for a great book!

This book is packed with step by step projects with loads of practical hints and tips how to become eco-friendly. If your child likes crafty activities it will definately love it! The text is easy to follow for them and the illustrations (which are lovely) shows how to create new objects from scrap materials. What I really like is that they can easly do everything by themselves. The first thing my daughter tried was creating a bag from her old t-shirt and it was lovely:) All the projects require things that can be found at every home so it's a great way to spend your time with kids and save the money and environment. Our next step will be backyard Jungle
I think it's a great book to be given to kids as a present that will last for years, they will spend a lovely, active time and become eco-friends:)

I have never had a book like this before, so it was very interesting, and I liked that there was a variety of things to do and make; indoors and outdoors, small and big projects, so there was something to suit everybody, and some things my little sister could get involved in too. I flicked through the book and found things that I was more interested in doing, such as the super stool and shower power. I enjoyed looking through it when I first got it and seeing which ones I had already done before, such as planting trees, growing our own food, making your own bird feeder. We have done some of the smaller projects in the book, and when I am next off school I am going to do some of the bigger ones with the help of my parents, which I am really looking forward to.

I love this book, it has so many ideas and shells loads with recycling.
I have a fairy garden that me and my mum planted.  So we made a waste zapper using the old coke bottle to water it and it looks really good.  I want to build a bug hotel next the book calls it bugtropolis.
I'm going to take my book to brownies as there are so many ideas that I could use to get a badge.
I love this book and I think my brownie friends will too.

This is a beautifully illustrated book which gives kids some great ideas for recycling/upcycling and generally cutting out waste.  These aren't just "kids" ideas though, there's plenty of stuff in here for adults to take notice of as well!  There's a good range of crafty activities which cover all levels of difficulty and a number of various themes.  I loved all the ideas for the garden (little ponds, bugtropolis and bird boxes especially) which will definitely give us some ideas for summer holidays!  Plenty of stuff to do indoors too though from cookery ideas to ways of re-using worn out clothes, furniture and cardboard boxes.  In short a fab resource for the bookshelf which contains plenty of ideas for years to come!

A lovely book packed with ideas for Eco projects. My 5 year old is excited to do the activities though most require a little planning and can't be done on a whim. It has a lot of variety with ideas to suit a wide audience and is a fab way of making my children more aware of the environment
