This was an original book, never read anything like this before. I liked how the whole book was set out in letters. It was funny, easy to read and I read the whole book pretty quickly. I liked The 2 main characters Jon and Straxi, and it was interesting hearing about Pluto and what Straxi got up to. It's a great book for both girls and boys

We received a signed copy of this book which was really special. Jon lives on Earth and he is taking part in an interplanetary penpal programme. His penpal is called Straxi and she is from Pluto. Jon is not too keen on Pluto or girls but could these very different people become very good friends? The book itself has some fantastic black and white illustrations and is mainly written on lined pages as the story is told in letters to and from Jon and Straxi. After a page of adverts the story dives straight into a letter from Jon introducing himself to Straxi. Letter writing is becoming a dying art according to Jon's teacher and she wants to keep it going. Jon is not so keen. Once you get into the letter writing style this is a lovely book with some interesting ideas and at its core a lovely friendship.

Chloe told me that she liked how the book was written especially the layout of it being letters from one character to the other. How they told each other all about their lives. One of her favourite books

This book was written in letters. It was quite confusing at the start because instead of people sending letters to people on the same planet, they are sending letters to each other in different planets, and it was set far in the future. One letter writer is on Pluto and one is on Earth. The letters tell of different lives and it is very interesting and made me imagine what it would be like to be on Pluto. I liked this book alot. It was easy to read once I understood what was going on.

We won this through a Toppsta giveaway, thank you. Unusual set up with the story being told through letters between Pluto and Earth, but once it settled in, we enjoyed reading it.

This is a very original book, comprised of letters to and from a boy, Jon, and girl, Straxi, who live on Earth and Pluto respectively (There is little confusion as to where and who has written each letter. Each letter has the writer's address at the top). Whilst it is a very funny story, there is quite a serious environmental message within this book. (In destroying the vomblefruit trees, the inhabitants of Pluto damage their ecosystem.) Thankfully, it does end on a happy note. We both liked the pictures of the skwitches. My six year old in particular liked the picture of them staring at Straxi, when he has his funny beak and wings on. Great book on many levels.

I thought this book was funny. It was easy to read as it was all letters.
It's an unusual book and I liked it a lot.

(Review worded by my 8 year old) at first I found this book a bit hard to follow. It is written in letters which is the first time I've read a book like this. It took me a while to get into it and understand it. It was about people writing letters to each other but they were on different planets and you got to learn the charachters through the letters. I enjoyed the book and it made me think about the different planets and wondered if there were aliens out on other planets

I didn't like this because it was boring because I thought that it was going to be a story not letters. I also think it was based for little kids. It also repeats the same thing about a quill. Also the character's look really ugly.
