I liked that the stories were all very funny and made me laugh the characters were very well thought out and every single character was diffrent I wish the Famous five were in it as they are my favourite but otherwise I really liked it !

I loved the children in the stories. I wanted to play with them! My favourite story was The magic ice cream because the two brownies had silly wishes! I think girls would like this book, but not boys. It would be a good book to take on your holiday. I liked Mummy reading the stories to me at bedtime. The only thing I didn't like was that it had no pictures to look at.

I liked the way Enid always talked to you at the end of each story e.g Have you ever seen pink-tipped daisies ;maybe you will find thirteen!  I didn't like the way Magic Seaweed &The Twins get in a Fix were basically the same.  I'd recommend some of this book for 5-6s but, some other bits for 7-8s (and maybe nines!).    This book was brilliant!

This book is a series of summer/holiday adventure stories, from smugglers caves to magic seaweed. I liked that there was lots of different stories, some stories were shorter than others, but most weren't too short, so you could get into them.  They were fun, and there was a lot of magic. There were stories that boys and girls would like, as I did think at first it would be more for girls. There are a few black and white illustrations, not much though

These books may have become 'classics', but they are extremely 'of a time past'; much of which we have (thankfully) moved away from in terms of our attitudes towards children and to me these books, although 'nostalgic' for some, are probably best now left in the past...
