Mr Tiger, Betsy and the Blue Moon
Author: Sally Gardner Illustrator: Nick Maland
What a simply delightful book enjoyed by me and my son! Betsy is a wonderful enchanting character with a dad who makes ice cream and a mum who is a mermaid. Betsy wants to travel to the moon when it is a rare blue moon to harvest a special berry to make some super special ice cream, one that grants wishes. Couple that with a talking tiger amazing illustrations, wonderful sentiment this book is highly recommended and it now a firm favourite in our household.

The Little Inventors Handbook: A Guide to Becoming an Ingenious Inventor
Author: Dominic Wilcox
Absolutely fantastic book, my son loves inventing things and this book really helps with the creative process.  With great examples it shows that really any idea can be taken and made into something fabulous, all it needs is what every child has imagination!

With great illustrations, there is space for children to draw and create their own inventions which makes it a perfect book to take out and about as well.

Highly recommended.

Unbelievably Boring Bart
Author: James Patterson
This is our first James Patterson book so we found the going a little clunky to start with but once we got going Henry really loved the book and the character Bartholomew Bean.  My son is interested in coding or the concept of it so once we got into the story and how the character was making a game he became more interested.  I would like to try more James Patterson books for children to see if we can get into how it is written more easily than this book.
