Thank you so much Toppsta, this book is packed with so many activities that we’ve been busy for hours!
I would say that even my 11 year old has enjoyed some of them so it is a good family book. My 5 year old loves it but does need some support to complete aspects of it.
There is a great variety of activities too which keeps interest and the way they are presented is fun.
I am trying to hide it now so that what is left can be used on some longer journeys when we go on holiday!

Simply excellent! This book is jam packed with puzzles and challenges for everyone in the family, such as dot to dots, crosswords, wordsearches, maths challenges, sudoku, quizes, codes, mazes and so much more! The children are delighted with it, as are we! With 151 pages of puzzles, will keep us all busy for a good while. Will be taking it with us on our travels too!

What a wonderful book! This is absolutely perfect for any boy or girl aged 8+ to take with them on a journey, or to use at home. It's packed full of great brain teasers, (luckily the answers are at the back), and is both visually and mentally stimulating. As an adult I've found myself flicking through the book and trying out lots of the activities. As a teacher I can see many opportunities for discussions about how and what the answers could be and why-and plenty of variety in the activities in the book too. All you need is a pencil and you are good to go. Yet again another good product from the Lonely Planet series of books. Highly recommend!

You only need to see that familiar Lonely Planet logo to know that, between those paperback covers, adventure awaits.  This time, it’s not a guidebook, but rather a fantastic book of travel-related puzzles and games to keep young travellers occupied on the journey.
On a long car trip or flight, when you’re out of mobile phone coverage or want to give the kids a break from staring at screens, this handy backpack-friendly-sized puzzle book will be a welcome change to playing I Spy and counting yellow cars.  With 145 pages of matching games, mazes, guessing games, and so much more, there is plenty in this book to keep travellers aged 5-10 busy for hours.  Handily all of the answers are at the end of the book in case the adults in your travel group are equally stumped.
The games are travel- and geography-themed, as you would expect from a Lonely Planet publication so it’s bound to prove popular even on a rainy day at home in the school holidays as you imagine you’re off travelling the world instead.

Great fun! So much to do with this, it's absolutely jam packed. There is something for everyone, or multiple things for everyone rather. Will keep you busy for days, Great to take away on a car journey or holiday. Highly recommended and a welcome break from staring at tablets/phones for entertainment.

This book is amazing! There are so many different things to do in it and hours of fun to be had. The puzzles and quizzes play on your general knowledge as well as your problem solving skills and keen eye for differences and similarities. There are sudoku puzzles, word searches, matching pictures, crosswords, number sequences and so much more. The main theme of the book is travel and so a lot of the puzzles link in with this. You have to match countries to their flags and cities to the dishes that they are famous for. We have had such fun testing ourselves with these puzzles and still have so many more to complete. A great book for the whole family to enjoy and help out with and perfect for slightly older children to tackle alone.

This is a great book! Packed full of puzzles and challenges. Perfect for going on a journey or to take on holiday. Probably more suited to a 7+ child, rather than a 5 year old.

I love brain teasers and was quite excited to have a book to introduce them to my daughter. This book has a large selection that I found to be quite fun. However, I think the listed age range is a bit inaccurate. Flipping through the book, I found very few puzzles that are appropriate for my daughter (who is 5 1/2). To be honest, there were a few puzzles that my husband and I were not able to solve on our own. I plan to pick and choose puzzles to work through with my daughter over the next few years. I think it would have been better if the lower age was 7 or 8 to best reflect the difficulty level. It will be a fun book that will last for years, but not quite what I was expecting.
