I read it to Leonapie aged 9 aged 9

My nine year old daughter was amazed with this book from start to finish. She is a little book worm and probably wouldn’t of been a book she would of picked up herself, but now Shen has told
Me she will look for more books like this. It is a hardback book and on every page has flaps which reveal interesting facts about each topic. She enjoyed the doctors looking at glass eye cabinet and an invention they used for children with sticky out ears, let’s say it didn’t catch on. Such a lovely education book. Will be recommended it to my friends as a must have book.

Oh WOW! This book has clearly been created with love. Each page is stunningly laid out and completely unique. Each one is a different 'cabinet' ranging from Doctors, Sailors, Musicians to Miniaturists. There are humourous, scary, funny curiosities all contained under hidden drawers, doors and flaps. The book itself is hard backed and that adds to the feeling of it being 'special' - this is certainly a book which will create magic for children, awe and wonder on every page. One I will certainly be sharing with fellow teachers.

This is a glorious book. One of the very best we've had in a long time. It is beauitfully illustrated and packed with information as it takes you through a museum exploring a range of different topics.
There are twelve themed collections, featuring everything from archaeology to costume making, to science. Each collection brings together a range of items from across the world to make it a curated set of items which really allows your child to explore the topic.
This is a genuinely fascinating book and both myself, my partner and our 7 and 5 year old keep finding ourselves picking it up and browsing through it over and over again. It's been in to school to show to my son's class and I can't see any of us losing interest in it any time soon.
This really is a triumphant book from Lonely Planet Kids and would make a wonderful gift for any child from around 6 upwards. Highly recommended.
