This book is amazing! The recipes featured in this book are perfect for fussy eaters. The recipes are easy to follow and the pages are laid out well. I would definitely recommend this book to other parents especially if their children like the Gruffalo.

We absolutely loved this book. It's a fantastic, colourful and beautifully illustrated recipe book which is perfect for kids. The book is split into four main sections. There are recipes for breakfasts, snacks, meals and sweet treats. The recipes were easy to follow and simple enough to try with little ones helping. We have already made three of the recipes. The first was Toadstool Pizza which was great fun to make and very tasty. We also tried the 'Deep Dark Wood Dips with Terrible Teeth Tortillas'. These were great and could be adapted to suit you child's preferences. Finally we made 'Caterpillar Twists chocolate puff pastry treats'. Again these were very quick and easy to make. We had great fun making different recipes and there are so many different ones to try this book will keep us busy for a while. We would definitely recommend this book.

This book is truely amazing!!
Is a instant hit with my little boy who loves gruffalo and cooking :)
We have made the grufalo crumble already and planning on making more and some of the other recipes over the holidays.
Is a lovely hard wearing book that will last for years and is the best by far the best toddler cookery book we have used and would highly recommend for toddlers who love cooking.
Am also thinking of buying another for a gift and would be lovely for a gift idea.
We thinking of a gruffalo birthday party and this would be great to make the different recipes for the party food :)

I bought this book for my granddaughter's 3rdbirthday as she is a mad Gruffallo fan. It has given many hours of pleasure making the recipes with her mother. There are recipes for different occasions including a Gruffalo cake. Some of the recipes are more detailed than others but some are very quick and simple with no cooking needed. Great 1st cook book.

What a fabulous book, my son loves getting involved with making these wonderful recipes and more importantly eating what he has made, we have attempted the Gruffalo cake with great results and the owl jacket potatoes are a great hit.  With wonderful illustrations which get your child excited and wanting to be involved with great links to the Gruffalo storylines.  We have had other children's recipe books previously but this one really is highly recommended.

This is an excellent first recipe book for children, full of fun activities. It will appeal to very young children who are still entranced by The Gruffalo picture book and to older children who just want to have a go at cooking/baking. There are plenty of colour illustrations from the picture book and photos of what you are supposed to be creating. The recipes are written in simple stages. Lots of bits for children, even quite young ones, to get involved in. The only one that looks a bit ambitious (for us anyway) is the Gruffalo Cake (my son is really keen at having a stab at it). It gives quite a few ideas to make food interesting for young children. Some of the recipes would be ideal for parties (Toadstool pizza). We have had a go at Caterpillar Twists: not too many ingredients, easy to get my six year old involved, not too much mess, satisfying result.

I read this cookbook with my Beanstalk children.  It was difficult to get a proper picture without actually using it to cook with but they liked the photographs of the food and the sort of food chosen for the book was the sort of thing they liked.  There could have been more cakes - none of the three liked the look of the Gruffalo cake - maybe more of a boy thing!  Good to have the paws for joining in.

I’ve got a 10,7 and 3 year old girls. We love the gruffalo crumble and other recipes. The 3 yr old uses it at least once a week.
We already love the story but what’s different about this book is the visual aspect. They are always so chuffed with themselves when they make something that resembles the picture.

The recipes are not too hard and don’t take too much time as children are not very patient.

The pages are quite robust and cleans well. We use it a lot.

Most importantly, it’s fun.

This is a recipe book for kids based on characters from the Gruffalo stories. It's well written and has a clear code within it about which parts children can do and which parts they should have a grown up help them with. It is good for toddlers but also older kids as some recipes are more fiddly than others. Eg mouse toast is quite a simple recipe but involved lots of cutting up a little pieces of chives etc. We have made some of the recipes with my 2-year-old and we've enjoyed it as it has encouraged us to use more spices when cooking with her but it would also be great for older kids who could do more if the making themselves. Makes a lovely gift.
