Book pages Peppa Pig: Peppa's Magical Unicorn
Peppa Pig: Peppa's Magical Unicorn
I read it (an adult) & to Sophiajane aged 2
Peppa Pig and unicorns, this was a winner before we had even opened the cover. The sparkles were very attractive to the 2 year old superfan. Inside the story included her favourite character Horsey Twinkle Toes who Daddy Pig helps to transform into a beautiful unicorn whilst Peppa and Suzy are having a sleepover. For me it was quite a long story but we did enjoy looking at all the pictures.

Book pages Snap: World Book Day 2019
Snap: World Book Day 2019
I read it (an adult)
From the moment you start reading this story you will be hooked. The family dynamic, the grief, the struggles with the community, friendship, there is so much packed into this book.

Soraya has the weight of the world on her shoulders. She is the go between in her family and desperate to be accepted by her friends while trying to please her extremely strict father who struggles to show his love for his family.

There were so many questions left unanswered in this story that I hope there will be more from Patrice Lawrence.

I would recommend this to children aged 11+.

Book pages Percy Jackson and the Singer of Apollo: World Book Day 2019
Percy Jackson and the Singer of Apollo: World Book Day 2019
I read it (an adult) & to Josh aged 10
My Mum suggested that I read this book. I have never tried a Percy Jackson book before. At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not but after a few pages I thought the story was really exciting and just kept reading all the way to the end. I wasn’t sure about the different mythical creatures but there are some explanations at the end of the book which is helpful. Sometimes it was really funny and I loved the bit with the boxer shorts and the wedgie! At the end there was a crossword and word search which was fun. I will be reading more Percy Jackson adventures soon.
