Phizzwhizzing new cover look and branding for the World's NUMBER ONE Storyteller!
Fantastic Mr Fox - the legendary tale of the most cunning fox in the world. Boggis is an enormously fat chicken farmer who only eats boiled chickens smothered in fat.
Bunce is a duck-and-goose farmer whose dinner gives him a beastly temper.
Bean is a turkey-and-apple farmer who only drinks gallons of strong cider.
Mr Fox is so clever that every evening he creeps down into the valley and helps himself to food from the farms.
Now the farmers have hatched a plan to BANG-BANG-BANG shoot Mr Fox dead. But, just when they think Mr Fox can't possibly escape, he makes a fantastic plan of his own . . . Listen to FANTASTIC MR FOX and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy soundeffects from Pinewood Studios! And look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play - including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! and HOUSE OF TWITS inspired by the revolting Twits.

Boggis, Bunce and Bean. One fat, one short, one lean! We loved reading this together and seeing how Fantastic Mr Fox outsmarted the farmers.
Characters are described in excellent detail and really help fuel the imagination and help you picture the scene in your head.
Plus the added bonus of Quentin Blakes illustrations. I have fond memories of reading this as a child and I have to say it hasn't aged a bit!

After the BFG and The Twits my 6yo was inspired to read more Dahl - Mr Fox doesn't disappoint as he sneakily outwits the farmers who think they're being so clever in trying to catch him for stealing their birds!  A great book to read or be read to!  A shorter book compared to some of the others but filled with drama all the same.

My son wanted to read another Road Dahl book after reading one in class.
This was the one we found in our library and he absolutely loved it!
The language was easy to understand and the story was a bit sinister which he loved. I would definitely recommend this for a 6 year old boy. I enjoyed rereading it myself too :-)

This tale and so many others from this gifted author were such favourites of mines as a child, these books have not lost their charm and still appeal to children even today.
Fantastic mister Fox tells of one fantastically clever Fox and three meaner than can be nasty Farmers, who have the sole ambition of capturing Mr Fox no matter the cost.
As always the author creates a world that is truly believable and a story that captures the imagination of readers of any age. A 5 Star must have read and highly recommended.

I am a volunteer in a school and have recently had this book read to me by a couple of children. It reminded me of the amazing ability of Roald Dahl to enchant the child and really draw them into the story.  His use of language and just the right amount of detail, mixed with humour and unexpected plot changes, results in a brilliant story.  I do, however, miss the wonderful illustrations that were on the copy that I read as a child, Quentin Blake just doesn't bring back the same memories.
