This is a very funny book and the Twits are very horrid in it, ugly inside and out. The only thing my boys didn't like about the book is that they wanted it to continue and finished to early. They liked the fact that the Twits played awful pranks on each other.

i just love Roald Dahl books, they're always my favourite to read as they're so imaginative and interesting. The Twits is my all time favorite. I really like the information at the back about Roald Dahl and how he compares himself to some of the Twits characters. I have so many favourite parts of this story..too many to list!! The illustrations throughout the book gives you an image of Mr and Mrs Twits and it makes the story more funny as you can imagine the story better in your mind. The book has a lovely bright green cover and came complete with smelly scratch 'N' sniff stickers for Mr Twits beard, they smell awful! I didn't like the smell of them but it was good as it gave you an idea of how smelly Mr Twits beard must have been. I can't wait to read this book again and others from Roald Dahl.

I would highly recommend this book, it was very funny and kept my two boys gripped throughout .It was a special scratch and sniff edition that included a sticker page at the front full of revolting smells. The two main characters are disgustingly despicable , but everyone else is nice. The Twits is a fantastic tale for young and old , captivating your imagination with lots of laughs and gasps along the way. The scratch and sniff stickers included in the front of the book are for sticking on that dirty Mr Twits beard on the front cover and I think the sticker page is a fantastic added bonus , the pong is sure to make even the grossest person you know go eurgh !

Couldn't love this classic anymore than I do already, really enjoyed the story as a youngster and have loved rereading it to with my 5&6 year old. Mr and Mrs Twit are truly vile to each other and everyone else including the poor Muddle-wump monkeys.  I love the descriptions in the book especially the one of what's in Mr Twits beard.  The tale is hilarious with the Twits getting their just desserts in the end. A hiliarious story with lovely illustrations by Quentin Blake.

I have read this book numerous times to my three children over the years and they have all loved it to pieces.  The way they are so horrible to each other is only part of the appeal, mugglewump and his family are fantastic and we have always loved how they get their own back on the horrible twits.
This book is great from ages 4-5 and upwards, as soon as they are old enough to sit and listen to a chapter book.  And I won't give it an upward age as if I sat down and read this to my eight year old now both her brothers would listen in too ( and pretend their not!).

me and my mum read this together a chapter each night it was really funny and I loved the pranks what Mr and Mrs twit got upto.  We talked about it and was thinking of our own pranks we could get upto.

The book is very good at describing things and we both turned our noses up about the beard.

I want it to be turned into a film.

The Twits is a great book. It is very funny as Mr and Mrs Twit keep doing pranks on each other. Mr Twit a fierce man and he has hair all over his face. Mrs Twit is a cunning woman and she turned from looking nice into disgusting. I think it's funny at the end when they get the shrinks and they start getting really small. I love The Twits.  <3 :)

I read it to Bobbin aged 10 aged 10
The Twits 9780141346397

Mr and Mrs Twit are disgustingly bad - both in appearance and behaviour (with the two likely being related!).  Mr Twit has a big beard in which food gets stuck, and the narrator suspects that it is not often washed. Mrs Twit is beardless but the story teller suggests that it might be better for her if she did have a beard to cover up her horrible face...  This is a rip roaringly funny tale of two despicable characters and how they get their come-uppence.

Roald Dahl is rightly loved by children for his humorous and non-patronising tales - he perfectly understands how to get the attention of his audience and keep it. As an adult I have greatly enjoyed reading his stories to my eldest child, and am now looking forward to repeating the delights of his stories with my younger child.

Highly recommended, a great, fun and attention-keeping tale for young ones.

I borrowed this book from the library because Matilda is my favourite film but that book was quite big for me. This one is by the same person. I liked this a lot. It was really funny. I laughed when the wife went up in the air with lots of balloons. They were really silly people. I think other people my age would like this book (and maybe older too)

My son and I read this book together, it is the 2nd time that we have read the book as the first time at 6yrs old he found it a little scary and was a little apprehensive about the story.
I read the book with him and the started to enjoy the storyline and realised that it was more of a funny book than anything bad. He found it funny and also gasped at some of the activities the twits got up to. Alex also enjoyed trying to second guess what was going to happen next.

I read this with my 4 yr old.  He really enjoyed it and found it hilarious!  He was a bit worried when there was talk of guns but it didn't bother him for long.  I do think it's not going to suit all 4 year olds, so parents need to be sensible about what their child would or wouldn't like.
