Three more stories of bravery and derring-do from our favourite baker boys! The much-loved picture book pair of pooches continue their adventures in a two-colour fiction format, ideal for children growing in confidence as readers and beginning to read alone.

In the title story, Shifty and Sam lead the way in a wacky race that has been sabotaged by the one and only Red Rocket! But they soon thwart his dastardly ways and the rightful winner takes home the prize.

When a mysterious parcel is delivered to the cafe, both Shifty and Sam claim ownership. A rift grows between the boys until a small knight rides to the rescue.

Rich old Lady Poshington is staying at the fanciest hotel in town, just as a spate of burglaries takes place. Can Shifty and Sam go undercover to catch the thief?

Brilliant stories hilariously told by Tracey Corderoy and beautifully brought to life by Steven Lenton's illustrations.

We are massive fans of the picture books but I’m grateful for these chapter books too. My 5 year old loves reading the picture books still (as do I) so we hope for more of those!! But as a free
reader, these are perfect for him to read alone. Many other chapter books are too scary/ old/
Boyish for his tastes but the return of these familiar characters make them just perfect for him.
The adventures are just brilliant,
As always.

Three short stories in this one book each broken down into short chapters which makes it very accessible for early readers. There are lovely illustrations throughout which add to the stories.

My son said he loved each mystery that was solved by the end of the story and he found the dogs very funny. This was a real feel good story and nice and gentle for bedtime.
