Roald Dahl's Opposites: (Lift-the-Flap)
Author: Roald Dahl Illustrator: Quentin Blake
This is a fantastic book for under 5s. The pictures are colourful - of Dahl characters - and the words are clear. It is a great way to teach little ones opposites as well as teaching them how to read! My family adores this book!!

Sleep
Author: Kate Prendergast
Totally love this book! The illustrations are simply beautiful. The book has a hard back, which instantly makes it feel special. Inside, there is a story about how different animals sleep. The words are simple so even my 5-year-old can read the book.

Oh Me, Oh My, A Pie!
Author: Jan Fearnley
This is a lovely book and reminds me a little bit of the Gingerbread Man. It is basically about a nice old grandma, who bakes a pie, but that is stolen by a greedy fox, then lost and found by a mouse, snatched by a cat, grabbed by a dog...you catch my drift. The book is written well and in rhyme, so it is an utter delight to read out loud. The pictures are great and my family love looking at them and discussing what is going on. We love this book!!!

The Dragonsitter's Surprise
Author: Josh Lacey Illustrator: Garry Parsons
We read this book at bedtime together and it was so good. It is visually nice to look at and is a good way of encouraging kids to read bigger books. The storyline is quirky and has a good pace. The book is written in a series of emails, which gives it a modern twist. Highly recommend it.

Brian the Lion Goes into Space
Author: Tracey Radford
This is a fantastic book. The 3D style illustrations are amazing and there are even instructions on how to make your own lion at the end. The storyline is unique and interesting and it is all written in rhyme - which is always a good thing. My family have read this book soooooo many times!!
