100 Women Who Made History: Remarkable women who shaped our world
Author: DK
This book is truly inspiration and educational. It is an encyclopaedia of brilliant women throughout history. They layout is great - a mix of photos and info which kids can understand. I am sure we will come back to this book time and time again

Ha ha ha ha ha - that is the sound we made when reading this book because it is super funny! Firstly, the book title was enough to get my 5-year-old in fits of laughter. The book is basically about how poo can save the day. The illustration are good - a big thumbs up from my family!!

Pirates Love Underpants
Author: Claire Freedman Illustrator: Ben Cort
Another great book by Claire Freedman. My son managed to buy a nearly-new copy of this book for just 20p at his school's Bring and Buy sale. Such a bargain as the book is fantastic. It has all the pants-loving humour that young kids adore. Also it is written in rhyme, which I adore as it makes it a pleasure to read out loud at bedtime.

This is a really nice book. The illustration are modern and colourful and the story itself is good. As the title suggests it is about how a spider secret agent saves the day. Nice book to read at bedtime!

Oxford Reading Tree Read With Biff, Chip, and Kipper: Phonics: Level 2: The Red Hen
Authors: Roderick Hunt , Ms Annemarie Young , Kate Ruttle Illustrator: Mr. Alex Brychta
Wonderful book for children on level 2 reading level. Simple story but good at encouraging kids to read. It has a lot of common words in it such as pen, net, not, got, pot and box.
