Brilliant book my daughter loved it, was so excited to be able to draw pugs, she has showed her friends who have all enjoyed the book together. Would recommend this to any 7-12 year old.

This is a great way to keep the kids entertained, Addie and Rory both worked through the book together and enjoyed the tasks(drawing and being creative) both children love books like this as they really stretch their imaginations, Pug-a-doodle-do did however give a little extra than the usual "doodle" books. The humour and quirky themes made the book even more enjoyable. Perfect for creative kids (espicially those who love pugs, comic books and dream of being illustrators, like my children)

A very useful book to have on a particularly rainy day. This is an excellent activity book, though not exactly what I was expecting. It is much more than a doodle book. There are the more traditional, usual activities in 'fun' books such as odd one out, colouring in,  then the more unusual such as ' Turn circles into mythical creatures', 'Draw a comic: The Invasion of the Killer Cakes' to 'Lord Krull's Swearwords - Draw lines to connect each swear word to a domestic appliance'. (Not sure about the last one. Swear words were just strange symbols such as a skull or bone.) Moreover, there is a problem page and comic strips. It has kept my son occupied for quite some day over the last two days. His favourite part was 'The Magnificient Dartmoor Pegasus named Kevin'. Overall very strange, but great fun.

Thought this was a great activity book-very different to any activity book that my daughter has had before. Loved the comic strips that you get to fill  in yourself, thought that was such a great way to get children story telling themselves. Also the sections teaching them to draw step by step was very helpful and fun. There was a lot of different content that kept my daughter interested and the book would last a long time. A fun packed activity book that was different, artistic and fun!!

Madeleine loved this book when it arrived. There’s lots of pug drawing tasks, and how to draw other things, it kept her busy for ages and there’s still lots to complete

If you're buying this thinking it will be full of pugs then don't.  It does feature a very cute pug throughout but he's definitely not in the majority.  The book actually has a whole host of characters and activites.  These range from "how to draw" examples, matching games, drawing cartoon strips and even a page where you just tick a box to show that you've read it!
There is a lot of humour throughout and, at 6, I'd say Lucas is a little young for a lot of it.  One we'll return to in a couple of years, when it could provide a lot of wet weather days entertainment!

This is more than just a doodle book, there are puzzles, quizzes and ideas a plenty here, whether you have five minutes or half an hour, you will find something to do. It gives you suggestions to start off your drawing which is great for kids who can find it hard to come up with ideas on their own, this book is also quirky, fun and different which my son loved, we also loved Colin the crab.
