One day Lily was playing on the beach with her Grandpa when she spotted something in the distance . . .
POLAR BEARS! Lots of polar bears! All floating on pieces of melting ice.

One evening, Lily is playing on the beach. And who should float in, but LOTS of polar bears! Lily is excited to welcome them home for dinner (of fish fingers and ice cream, of course) and to have them stay for a sleepover. Lily has even more fun with the bears when they go swimming, ice skating, and visit the fun fair - and it soon turns out that polar bears are really quite good at a lot things, becoming polar bear postmen, opening ice cream parlours, and even becoming astronauts!

An incredible story with amazing illustrations.
Lily was playing at seaside with her grandpa and she seen something amazing . A sleuth of polar bear floating ashore . What would she do? How this polar bears going to thrive in their new environment?
It's a fascinating story that has so many resemblances to what we face now. Refugees, acceptance and humanity
Perfect story to talk about global warming and climate changes.

The Arctic ice is melting and lily finds all the worlds polar bears sitting on ice floating towards her, what will she do? Take them home for tea and cake and a warm place to stay of course!

A story about immigration and refugees beautifully told for children, fundamentally about acceptance.

The illustrations are fun, with polar bears up to all sorts of things on each page so there's plenty to look at. I particularly liked the look on mums face when she opened the door to hundreds of polar bears! Very enjoyable book.

There is a lot of depth to this book but beautifully written for children. Sophie has really taken this book in and has all her bears in her Wendy house with her. She loves this story and I love the message that this book brings.

We all really enjoyed reading this book. Lily and her Grandpa are at the beach one day when Lily suddenly spots something very different. It is a group of Polar Bears and they are floating towards her. Lily invites them back to her house and they have lots of fun getting to know the people and the places where Lily lives. The book really made us laugh and this is especially thanks to the amazing illustrations. They are very detailed and very colourful. We also liked the idea of Polar bears integrating into society and finding jobs. We had great discussions about the best and funniest jobs a Polar Bear could have. The book itself is wonderful with a very heartwarming message.

This is a lovely book which has been a real success with my three-year-old. We have enjoyed reading it together. Polar bears are always popular and we love that this is a story that Lily the heroine shares with her grandpa. My daughter loves to see the polar bears in Lily's house and points out where they are sleeping all over the house. A real sweet book that we all love.

This book is great and we all really enjoyed it. Lily is on the beach when some polar bears appear. They have lost their homes due to the melting ice. She finds room in her house for them and then they start making themselves at home. They get jobs and really integrate themselves into the neighborhood. It's a story about allowing immigration and accepting other people and cultures. Love it and my little ones laughed loads. They loved the page where the polar bears his in the most imaginative and bizarre places in the house.

I read this to Iris and she really enjoyed the illustrations and pointing out the Polar Bears. She particularly enjoyed that the front cover was slightly raised and shiny. This gave her some sensory stimulation which makes her really happy at this age. The story itself is well written, amusing and enjoyable to read aloud.

I think this book will grow with Iris as it's an intelligent tale that can spark many areas of conversation. You can discuss why the Polar Bears have arrived? What's happened to their home? It's possible to point out the different professions the Polar Bears take and it opens up the prospect of 'letting people into your home', which in today's society is a very important message to deliver to young children. I like that it teaches children to be open minded towards those that aren't the same as them and shows the value that different people can bring. I think it's a clever idea to make these comparisons using polar bears and humour. A very enjoyable read.

Such a lovely book - both in terms of pics and storyline.
We loved reading it. The storyline follows Lily and how she helps  polar bears, who have lost their homes due to melting ice. She makes room for them and they jobs and integrate themselves into the neighbourhood.
It's a very topical tale about immigration and accepting others and different cultures.
