There's no place like home, but poor Florence Firefly is lost, and there are so many bright lights shining in the night sky she doesn't know which way to go. She'll need some help to find her way back home. In this brilliant interactive picture book, children can help Florence on her journey by encouraging her to fly faster, suggesting which direction to take and making a wish.

Ooh I love this book! Great pictures! Not too much text and a lovely storyline. I love the children participation too e.g close your eyes and make a wish. The toddlers and babies loved it at my group!

Lovely book, the illustrations and night time story remind me abit of Wow said the Owl- so if you enjoy that I would recommend this book. NJ really likes hearing about little Florence Firefly trying to make her way home. I liked how it got children involved and discussing on each page.

Another beautiful story from this author! This is a fun interactive story when the reader is asked to say things out loud or point at things. We enjoyed the chatty narrative which seems very friendly! My girls love pointing out the things mentioned in the story and it made a nice quiet bedtime story, especially with the twilight scenes.

This is a beauty of a book.  Florence the Firefly has got lost and is trying to find her way back home.  She keeps spotting lights but not the ones she's looking for - until she makes a wish on what looks like a shooting star and discovers it's actually a group of friends!  A great interactive tale that encourages children to wish, shout, read along and trace around images on the page.  Lucas was instantly absorbed.  Britta Teckentrup is one of our favourite illustrators and this is another visually stunning example of her work

We thought that this book was just magical. The dark pages, lit by the bright fireflies captivated our imagination and were perfect for a bedtime read. It's written as if talking to the child, which really engaged my 3 year old. We also liked the question and answer style of each page, it meant that it was easy to join in with. It certainly is a story to return to again and again.

This is a really nice book, it’s great quality too. Florence the firefly is lost and can’t find her way her way home. So we have to help her. This book gets the children involved too, which is great. My little boy really enjoyed this and helping Florence by flapping his wings and more. Overall a really nice story and fun too. We loved it.

This is a beautiful book, I love the illustrations and the colours. It is a bit more interactive than other books which we would normally read at bed time but I like that. My son loves it and always asks for it at the moment .

My daughter really enjoyed the illustrations in this book, and trying to guess what was making the light. The highlighted words were great to help her with sounding out. A lovely book.

What a beautiful simple story for little ones.  Florence the firefly needs the readers help to get home, which leads to lots of lovely interaction, tracing shapes, spotting things, making wishes and blowing kisses goodnight!  My 1.5 year old really enjoyed this story and it naturally slowed pace at the end to make a perfect bedtime story.

I enjoyed the beautiful simple illustrations and the sparkle from the fireflies.  The hardback book and strong pages make this a hard wearing quality book.

This is a nice book. It is about how a firefly gets lost but manages to find her way home. The storyline is nice but the illustrations are what make this book good. It is a good book and worth a read.

This is a beautiful book that features a unique main character.  A wonderful change.

The light on each page illuminates perfectly against the muted tones of the other illustrations.

Florence the Firefly is searching for home, on the way she’s attracted to lots of other lights.  This is great for starting a discussion about other lights and where they are found!?  We also loved the ‘following’ opportunities with Florence’s light ‘trail’.

A ‘grown up’ looking book but would be good for 3 years +.

We enjoyed this book greatly as it had a lovely story and beautiful illustrations to match. Florence the firefly was a charming character and it made a beautiful bedtime story as it was set in a starry night.
