A touchy-feely board book with simple, repetitive text, tactile patches and bold illustrations specially designed for babies and toddlers. Small children can meet a range of friendly hedgehogs, and by using their sense of touch, work out which hedgehog is theirs. Don't forget to spot the little white mouse that's hiding on each page!

We love this series of books. Great to read aloud but also bright and colourful enough that a toddler is happy to sit and flick through it alone. Very tactile and multisensory.
We foster hedgehogs so this book really appealed

This is a very tactile book. My son used to love it when he was a baby. The touch and feel element really helps youngsters to get used to books. I would recommend this.

My 11 month old daughter loves this book. Sometimes I read it with her, other times she plays with it herself as it is in her toy bag. She quickly caught on to this being a touchy freely book when we got it a few months ago. Only annoying thing is the last page is Velcro type material and all sorts of fluff gets caught in it!

I love reading this book with my baby daughter. She has always responded really well to the bright pictures and used to happily stare at them when she was doing tummy time or just lying on her play mat with the book propped open beside her. She is now just starting to explore the lovely textures on each page, which brings another level of enjoyment to the book. When she is older still, I'm sure the story will be fantastic for teaching her different descriptive words. I'd definitely recommend this book or give it as a gift to those with even the youngest babies!

This lovely book proved very popular with my toddler and baby. In this book mouse is attempting to find his hedgehog. Baby loves feeling all the different textures of the various hedgehogs in this book. The sentence "That's not my hedgehog" is repeated on each page followed by a description of the animal "Its nose it too shiny." The book introduces great descriptive vocabulary which is super for both my little munchkins. All the pages are bright and colourful and the illustrations by Rachel Wells are very cute. A lovely sensory friendly read.

This is a lovely interactive book which encourages little ones to feel and describe textures. Can be used from child's early days and then returned to when older to use to develop language skills

This is a fantastic book for smaller children as it is very tactile. The story is very simple and is based around what the children can feel. My kids loved being able to run their fingers over the page and feel the different sensations. The only downside for such little children is that they don't understand what a hedgehog is and my toddler kept calling it a dog!
