This is a fantastic book for under 5s. The pictures are colourful - of Dahl characters - and the words are clear. It is a great way to teach little ones opposites as well as teaching them how to read! My family adores this book!!

Sophie loved this preschool book of opposites. It's bright colourful and interesting. The flaps are sturdy and perfect for smaller hands. I love the learning apespect, really explained opposites. Perfect book for Sophie aged 2. She managed this book all by herself.

A fantastic introduction to the world of Roald Dahl! Leo enjoyed reading the opposites and naming characters that he recognised, such as Trunky, Rolly-Polly Bird, Muggle-Wump and Humpy Rumpy, from other Roald Dahl stories he's read. The strong, colourful pages make it ideal for younger children.

Lovely book with lots of Quentin Blake illustrations which we loved. The little flaps were just right for my one year old to lift and she enjoyed making all the animal noises.a good size book for her to flick through alone too.

Thoroughly enjoyed sharing this book with my baby daughter-it’s a lovely addition to her bookshelf   The book gives a wide variety of opposites and incorporates classic Quentin Blake illustrations from Roald Dahl stories with flaps for young children to lift. A lovely way to introduce young children to the wonderful characters created by Roald Dahl whilst also helping to build on language and vocabulary.

As a lover of Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake I thought this book would be a perfect introduction to the two for my little boy.
Whilst the illustrations are beautiful, I think right now they are a little too complicated to keep my little boys interest.
He loves lift the flap books, so enjoyed that part however it is a shame that they were all the same flap just varying in size and which way they opened.
Whilst some of the opposites weren't the ones we would usually use, I think as he is older and looking to expand his vocabulary, my little boy will find this book useful to help him think of different opposites to the standard ones!
This book will definitely be taken off the shelf again and again, but perhaps once my little boy is older and interested more in words and opposites rather than the images as he is at the moment!

I love the illustrations in this book. I simply love that they are an introduction of Roald Dahl for younger children. My son loves going through this book but I thought they were maybe a little young for him (he has just turned 3)

Brilliant way to introduce opposites to my daughter, as she loves lift the flap. Also nice for me and her Dad as we grew up with Roald Dahl & Quentin Blake's illustrations! Seem relatively sturdy, and is a good size for toddler hands.

My daughter enjoys this books and repeating the words as we go through each page. It was a shame that there wasn’t many flaps and they were all the same. However, it was still enjoyed and my daughter preferred pointing at the pictures. The pages are shiny and bright which is lovely. The illustrations are nice and what you expect from Quentin Blake. A good quality book.

Just received this book. We read it together straight away but my son wasn't too keen on this one. Some of the opposites were different to what he would usually say, which confused him. On the plus side, it is very colourful and there was lots of flaps that he could lift and discover, which he enjoyed. As it is a hardback book it is very durable and sturdy which means it won't be ruined as easily as a paperback.

The illustrations in this book are lovely and funny as you’d expect from Quentin Blake. My daughter loves lifting the flaps and, as it’s a board book, it feels quite robust. It’s nice to talk around the pictures and opposites on each page and the pictures allow you to do this well as there’s something different happening in each one rather than just a picture of an elephant, for example.
