Join the fun on the farm!
A brand new Mudpuddle Farm book from award-winning author Michael Morpurgo, hilariously illustrated throughout by Shoo Rayner, and perfect for readers of 5 and up.
Two charming stories for younger readers, featuring a loveable family of all sorts of animals, living behind the tumble-down barn on Mudpuddle Farm - where everything is about to change... in the most unexpected and hilarious ways!
Nowt to Worry About:
There's a storm in the air, and all the animals are worried. But old Farmer Rafferty doesn't realise anything is wrong. Can the animals warn him in time?
Tickety-Boo:
A funny new creature has arrived at Mudpuddle Farm - and the animals soon make friends. Problem is, the latest addition to the farm doesn't belong actually there! It looks like it's time to say a sad goodbye - although Albertine the Goose might just have a clever idea...

This book has made my just 6 year old daughter fall in love with reading. It's such a perfect book to start off children with reading chapters. I've found her lying in bed reading a few pages each night and reading it out loud so so well. She gives this book 5 stars and said she can't wait to read more books.

This book has really helped ignite our 5 year old's interest in chapter books. It has two short stories in it so isn't overwhelming for a new reader. The stories are very sweet, the first story deals with a scary storm but shows that everyone comes through ok so helping children nervous about storms. The stories feel gently whilst touching situations that could be unsettling. The second story is about friendship and relationships, with two horses bringing their respective farmers together. We have gone on to reserve more of these books from the library as our son enjoyed them so much.

This was my daughter first real book as she calls it. She felt very grown up and couldn't wait till story time. The chapters were a perfect length and two lovely story's about friendship and relationships on the farm. She loved the fact the stories started the same introduction so she could recognise it straight away. The illustrations were brilliant and she loved all the different animals. She was unable to read it herself but she recognised letters and words and sat reading it with me. I was thrilled to introduce her to Michael Morpurgo and have looked for more in this series as it would make a lovely set for her to read, reread and collect.

I hadn't realised that Michael Morpurgo wrote books for younger children. I read this book to a mixed age group of children (aged 2-8) and it was a bit too long for the little ones although they loved the animals and listened enthusiastically at first. The older ones loved it though - there are two separate stories in the book all revolving around the farm and the adventures and activities of the animals who live there. The story kept their interest and the illustrations really added to it and made it more fun. There are pictures on every page so this would make a great book for an independent reader as the text is broken up and the pictures help with understanding the story.

This book was perfect for bedtime stories for older children! It's made up of 2 different stories, they are quite long (if reading at an adult pace it will take about 20 minutes to complete) but my girls like a 'good bedtime story' that has a good lengthy story line and one that we can finish up in one go!
The stories were quite basic, based on a farmer and his animals and some of the antics they get up to. The first story is all about a thunder storm and the second is about an escapee donkey!
The girls liked the book because even at 6 and 7 they still like to look at the pictures and most page had illustrations on them.
I've never been let down with Michael Morpurgo books and this one is as good as the others!

This is a fun book, with two good stories. The illustrations are great too. My animal loving little boy enjoyed listening to the stories and enjoyed the pictures. He's 5 and i think he would enjoy this book more when he's a little older as he prefers the bigger colour pictures. Definately a book that will be kept and read again ehen he's older.

In this book, there are two gentle animals stories. Each one is just about the right length for a bedtime read. This is an excellent book for an early reader taking into account the stories' simple, humorous charm and the fact that they are broken into very short chapters. My son said that the best thing about them was the 'funny animal pictures'.

A brilliant book again from Michael Morpugo. It is definitely more suited to 5/6/7 year olds, due to the childish language and storyline, but it is certainly a very enjoyable story.

This is very nice book, there is 2 stories, which show  animals life on the farm. First is about storm and animals  trying to warn the farmer about it. We read this book very quick, there is many nice black and white pictures. My daughter likes this story a lot.

This is an interesting book and I am sure my son will like it more when he is older. However, he's only 5 and prefers a traditional picture book format. This book has pictures, but they are all in black and white so probably a good age range for this book is 8 years old or older.
