Florence and the Mischievous Kitten
Author: Megan Rix
My daughter really enjoyed this story. She loved the character of Beth and is in love with kittens so this was a hit! It was a great opportunity for her to learn about Florence nightingale, someone she didn’t really know about before this book. It opened up further discussions about who she was and the past. I would recommend this book to any young girl and we are hoping to now read more of these books!

Excellent book full of great ideas of things to make using cardboard! Really easy to follow and clear illustrations. Both my girls loved the book and were eager to make new creations!

A beautiful book about three little bears who question how they can all be important and the best bear! Would be a great book to read to a new brother or sister! A lovely bedtime read

Hubert Horatio: How to Raise Your Grown-Ups
Author: Lauren Child
My daughter loves the Charlie and Lola books and she enjoyed this one too! It is funny and kept my daughter engaged. The main character, a young boy, lives in a mansion but soon they learn that money doesn’t make you happy! A book which my daughter could read too, we enjoyed taking it in turns. Some great vocabulary used that created great discussion about word meaning and context. Would recommend for all young readers!

The Sheep-pig
Author: Dick King-Smith
My daughter loved this book. She loved the character of Babe and Fly! This book is a lovely read and is all about a farmer 'Mr Hoggett', who wins a pig! Babe lives on his farm and learns how to be a sheep-pig by watching Fly, the sheep dog.
