It's Halloween and Daisy is going trick-or-treating for the very first time. In the dark ...in the fog ...with a vampire ...armed only with a torch and some silly string. GULP! The funny, spooky and totally troublesome new tale from the bestselling Daisy series.

From the day we received this book my daughter wanted to read this as her reading book for school! It's a laugh out loud book, with excellent illustrations, perfect for my 7 year old! Daisy, the main character, deals with her worries about Halloween and a boy called Jack in a really light hearted and amusing way. My daughter has enjoyed reading this to me so much she's gone and borrowed 'Daisy and the trouble with kittens' from her school library to read next! I can see more Daisy books being placed on her Christmas list too! Brilliant book, highly recommend.

Right from the beginning Aaron was glued to this book. It's written in such a way that he can follow the conversations of the characters and it's easy enough for him to read independently. Aaron was amazed that the trick or treat pages are printed on black paper and he thoroughly enjoyed looking through the illustrations. This is a great book especially with halloween coming up. Aaron felt he was being grown up by reading a spooky book (although it's not scary).

My five year old daughter loved this book! We love the daisy books and this one is now one of her favourites! Daisy goes trick or treating for the first time but things don't go to plan! My daughter found the book funny and she kept wanting to read more!

This book was great fun as we follow Daisy being more and more freaked out by Halloween tall tales.  The trick or treating outing with her neighbour ends with a game of Graveyard Murder in the Dark which goes a tad awry.  The illustrations are great fun and the text is bold and easy to read.  The story romps along at a great pace and it is, of course, perfect at this time of year.  As a great fan of the picture book Daisy: Eat Your Peas it was also good to see the themes from that still included within a book for older kids.  What a way to keep Daisy fans young and older happy!

My daughter loves the Daisy books. This one she picked up at the library and read to herself. This one is all about Halloween. Daisy has been listening to the tale tales told to her by a boy in her class as becomes quite worried about Halloween. We love Halloween in this house, so my daughter knew that the stories were all silly but i can see how it might be a little scary for your wee one if they believe the stories. It does all end well I'm told, with the children eating Halloween sweeties.

We found this story a bit scary but it was good to see that Daisy does not like Halloween. In truth we have yet to finish it as I think it is a bit too much got a bedtime story.

A brilliant fictional story that uses brilliant imagination all through the book. As subject matter would suggest not suitable for very young readers thus we only read this together with our nearly 6 year old.

Lovely written book all about trick or treating.  Some funny parts they even made Mummy laugh.
Unfortunately when I had finished the dark pages, my hands had black ink on them which I had to wash off.
