My son aged 8 read this book and loved it, I find it hard to get books that engage him, he is a very capable reader but still likes to have illustrations on each page and hot too much text all small and close together so this was perfect!

Luke liked that this was a diary written from the dogs perspective and Junior was his favourite character. He especially liked how junior named all the rooms in the house such as the ‘picture box room’, ‘rainy poop room’ etc.

We will be looking out for more books written by this pair of authors.

I liked this book because it was funny, really funny. Junior was the dog a naughty doggy, he liked going to the park but his worst fear was the vacuum cleaner. There was a dog competition and there was stricker with her dog duchess and Duchess has never messed up or been naughty before. Junior was being silly at the dog show and encourage Duchess to be naughty as well. Stricker was very mad at Duchess. Junior had lots of friends called Diego, Odion, Betty, Genghis and Lola but Junior was his best friends. I liked the pictures in the book as they were very funny and there was a lot of them. Betty liked telling Jokes for eg - Which kind of dog would keep a vampire as a pet? A blood hound! Did you hear a cat won the dog show? It was a 'Cat-has-trophy!
I think this book was more of an adventure. Junior wasn't a easy dog to train but he learnt quickly but he didn't like hearing the word Vet!
I really enjoyed this book and would read others in the series if they are any. Scarlett

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! What a fantastic book! A dog called Junior tells his exciting story about being Rafe's dog. It's written in American English which sometimes needed a little bit of explaining, but the large font and short chapters meant is wasn't too overwhelming for Leo to read mostly by himself. He found it really funny that it was written from a dog's point of view. He especially enjoyed the Doglish names for things (the Rainy Poop Room had him in stitches!). Leo thoroughly enjoyed the story and couldn't wait to get to the next chapter, so unsurprisingly the next book in the series Happy Howlidays is already on his list to read next.

I read this lovely story to my 6 year old daughter. She loves dog and found this book really funny. She couldn’t wait for bedtime so that we read the next chapters.
She’s lacking some confidence in her own reading so I didn’t ask her to read it herself but this is the sort of story I hope she will move onto reading herself very soon!

This is the first book we have read by this author but we will now be looking into others he has wrote! My daughter loved it. She was engaged straight away by the fact a dog was writing a book, she loved the blurb and couldn’t wait to read it. It is a really funny book all about a dog and his adventures! My daughter was able to read parts of the book herself and I read the rest at bedtimes. A great read!

RJ and I read this book at bedtimes for the last week, straight away RJ engaged with the story. He really liked that it was wrote as if by the dog. The illustrations are fantastic and RJ liked looking at them in detail and we talked about them as we read. RJ could really relate to Rafe Junior as we used to have a dog that hated the Hoover too so he found the parts about the vacuum cleaner very funny. Great read, would happily buy as a present or other books by the same Author

My 6 year old son reads this independently. He really enjoyed it. It is perhaps a bit longer than the books he would normally read to himself but because the print was very readable and the chapters/sections were short he didn’t feel overwhelmed by it. He found the dog being frightened by the vacuum cleaner very funny!

My little girl (7) really enjoyed reading this and finished it in an afternoon! It’s a humorous account of life from the dogs perspective and I heard many giggles! It was perfect reading for her age and a harmless, amusing subject matter. Would recommend!

The book is written in diary form from the perspective of a dog. My six year old's review is as follows:
"I really like the big where he battled Poochie Poos. It was particularly annoying because on the front page it shows that the dog wins the cup, but he actually doesn't in the story. I think it may be one of his dreams." He enjoyed it so much that he read the final third by himself because he couldn't wait for bedtime stories the next evening!

The book is American so if you're a stickler for English be aware!
