Two Sides
Author: Polly Ho-Yen Illustrator: Binny Talib
I saw this book and thought it would be a great book to share with my daughter. It was longer than I expected, but such a lovely way to tell a story. The story follows the friendship of two girls who have a disagreement. The way it is set out, allows you to understand the thoughts and feelings of both girls. My daughter really liked that they resolved the situation in the end and became friends again.

Wizard vs. Lizard
Author: Simon Philip Illustrator: Sheena Dempsey
A great level book for children that enjoy Harry Potter, but are not ready for the books. The book is based around a wizard who is not very good at wizardry. We really enjoyed sharing the reading if this.

The Sea Book
Author: Charlotte Milner Illustrator: Charlotte Milner
This is a beautiful book- the illustrations are brilliant. It would suit all ages as can be enjoyed simply as a picture book, read with an adult or a more confident early reader. There is a great amount of information that my daughter and I enjoyed reading together. A must for any children with an interest in the sea.

Splash Day!
Author: Nick Sharratt Illustrator: Nick Sharratt
Not sure who enjoyed reading this book more- my daughter or my dad! My daughter loved the illustrations. My dad enjoyed that he could read with gusto adding in the sound effects! A lovely book- great for readers who are becoming more confident.

What's Going On Inside My Head?: Starting conversations with your child about positive mental health
Author: Molly Potter Illustrator: Sarah Jennings
This is a great book to share with children. My daughter has also enjoyed looking at it herself, as the way it is laid out makes it easier for her to read.
It has a really good amount of information in, without overloading children. I just think it's a brilliant book for giving children strategies to help with things they might find challenging.
