A brand new, bigger, edition of an Ahlberg Happy Families classic. Mrs Wobble LOVES her job as a waitress but, oh dear, there's one big problem - she wobbles!! And when she wibbles and wobbles and drops jelly everywhere, it's time for a new job! Luckily, Mr Wobble, and all the Wobble children have a cunning plan . . . Janet and Allan Ahlberg's Happy Families series is full of wonderful and funny books, perfect for children learning to read. This new, bigger, edition means that even younger children can enjoy the stories. Look out for Mr Biff the Boxer, too! I loved the Happy Family books as a child and this one was my absolute favourite. It brings me such joy to now read it to my four year old twin girls who also love it. It (like all the HF books) has a great moral to it, you don't have to change yourself to fit in and succeed at what you love. The story is at times sad, witty and laugh out loud funny. The illustrations are a thing of beauty. 10/10 a wonderful book by a superb writing/illustrating team.

A childhood favourite of mine, I was so pleased when my 6 year old brought it home as a reading book some 28+ years later. A funny tale withe the details of the illustrations just charming. I remember being inspired by the menus and that has stood the test of time as my daughter loved the book as much as I did and is seeking the rest of the series from the library

Loved this book when I was a child and now my 5 year old has discovered it. A very amusing story about Mrs Wobble who wobbles her way out of a job at a cafe. But her family come up with a way she can still be a waitress and help her out. I love Janey Ahlberg's illustrations.

This book was a favourite of mine when I was little so I really enjoyed sharing with with my daughter who found it hilarious too! Mrs Wobbles terrible waitressing skills had her laughing out loud and she loved the ending and how the children helped to come up with the solution.

My little ones absolutely loved this book. It is about a waitress who is wobbly and keeps spilling everything so gets sacked. Her family then decides to open up their own cafe. My kids found it so funny that everything got spilt and loved that they opened their own cafe. They also want to do the same. Great book.
