I have 4 children ranging from 13 down to 3 and this is a firm favourite since my eldest was little. We have the board book for when they are little then the paper back for when they get bigger. I love how the mouse teaches children to be brave, no matter how big you are. I love Julia Donaldson and how her books flow when reading. Excellent favourite in our house for the last 13 years

Wonderful story appreciated in so many different ways by both my boys. Youngest loves the mouse (it might be the voice he had when reading the story!) And the eBay loves pointing out his knobbly knees - amongst other things!
A true modern classic!!

My son's favourite book. Great storyline and lovely illustrations. Lots of repetition which is great as he can retell the story independently now. Would recommend. Julia Donaldson a great children's author.

This classic book is a must have for all children, the rhyming story is easy to follow. The illustrations are great too. Mouse is on a stroll and when different animals want to eat him he makes up a story about a gruffalo. Until he actually meets one, but can his quick thinking save him again. My little boy loves this book.
