This is a great book to look at on your own or as a family and contains something for everyone.  It has lovely illustrations and written in small chunks of information.  We found it good to sit down and read together and it allowed us to discuss things that we might not have done.
It has good practical information and we particularly liked the coping mechanisms.
This is something that I think we will refer to on many occasions and a book we will recommend to friends.

A really good book to help children talk about their mental health. The book isn’t too overwhelming but helps kids deal with the strong emotions they might be dealing with.

This is a great book about positive self-image and dealing with emotions & relationships. It helped me start the conversation with my mum about my feelings and she helped me to understand how can I sort some problems at school. The book is lovely designed and easily explain the main issues children deal with every day. I will recommend this book to my friends and my teacher at school.

My daughter who is 6 has been having a few troubles at school, she wasn't sure how to explain her worries and feelings to people. We sat together and looked at this book and it helped her to finally open up and get off her chest all that she had been feeling, on her own she didn't understand it and to be honest I didn't know the right things to say to help her but now we are both on the same page. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a child with worries.

What an amazing book! Filled with strategies for dealing with anxiety. It focuses  on staying positive, looking after yourself and appreciating differences. My class will love this and  I'm going to share with other ks2 teachers. Will base my pshe for the next few weeks around it!

Another super book in this series from Molly Potter.  Could be used by parents and teachers right from reception age as the ideas and strategies are very straightforward.  Layout is inviting with lovely illustrations by Sarah Jennings, with cartoony speech bubbles and key ideas in highlighted boxes.  It's a very practical approach to the topic and offers some helpful solutions to everyday worries and anxiety.  I will be looking at including a copy in all of our infant and some of the junior classrooms, so it's there when needed!

This is a great book to share with children. My daughter has also enjoyed looking at it herself, as the way it is laid out makes it easier for her to read.
It has a really good amount of information in, without overloading children. I just think it's a brilliant book for giving children strategies to help with things they might find challenging.

This is a great book for starting conversations with children who may be suffering with strong emotions they can't handle, anxieties and negative thinking. It's written in easy-to-understand language with plenty of illustrations and offers a useful overview of topics like 'what can I do when thoughts bother me?' or 'how do I ask for help when I need it?'

My eldest son (9) really connected the page about worries and has used a couple of the tips to help calm his mind at bedtime. I don't see it as a book to consume all in one go (my youngest son had quite a short attention span looking it), but will be very useful for dipping in and out of when you need it - there's something very reassuring about a book laying out what you're experiencing and gives the ideas more authority than only coming from a parent!

I would say it's a really great starter, but if you want to really tackle some issues in-depth or talk to older children, you may need to look elsewhere.

A bright and cheerful looking book with clear illustrations and short paragraphs to read. Lots of serious content about  personal image and social development, but presented in a relaxed 'Let's talk about this..' way. My 10 year was very interested in techniques described to calm and cope with the emotions, especially as she will be starting secondary school soon. My 4 year was keen to talk about the pictures and enjoyed an abridged version of the text! As a teacher, I feel is will be a great book to use in KS2, whole class and 1:1 with pupils with specific needs.
