Death in the Spotlight: A Murder Most Unladylike Mystery
Author: Robin Stevens
I love the ‘Murder Most Unladylike’ series and I am always waiting for the next one. ‘Death In The Spotlight’ kept me guessing and not once did I ever guess who it was.I love this series and would definitely recommend this to everyone who loves a great murder mystery and is part of the amazing detective society  love love  love this book. It had so many twists and turns and I don’t think that anyone  could guess who did it, this is one of my fave books in this series.

Head Kid
Author: David Baddiel Illustrator: Steven Lenton
I’ve read all David Baddiel’s books and have really enjoyed them, but I couldn’t get into this one as it didn’t excite me.
Maybe I’m getting too old for his books now. Sorry.

Nadiya's Bake Me a Story: World Book Day 2018
Author: Nadiya Hussain
I really enjoyed this book and liked the way that the recipes and stories were linked.
I am looking forward to making one of the recipes, but I can’t decide which one yet!
I would like to read more of Nadiya’s recipes and stories.

Words and Your Heart
Author: Kate Jane Neal
This book could not have arrived at a more opportune time. It was intended for my youngest (who greatly enjoyed it), but it is my oldest who has appreciated most as she is struggling greatly with a ‘friend’ who is not using words well. It really struck a chord with her.

It is such a simple book with such a strong message. I think the simplicity of it means that the message comes through even louder and even clearer.

I think this may well be returned to time and time again for both sibling arguments and friendships.

Thank you Toppsta

The Slime Book: All You Need to Know to Make the Perfect Slime
Author: DK
I knew this was going to go down well with both girls...what I hadn’t anticipated was the long shopping list we now have as there are different types of slime with all sorts of things added in - snowflakes, small polystyrene balls, various glitters! But they love it and love watching the chemical reactions take place as it becomes slime.
Thank you!
