This is a really funny book with great pictures in. This is the first one i have read but it is the third in a series. It was easy to pick up and read without having read the others and was a great book on its own. There is constant drama adventure and exciting happenings in this book that had me unable to put it down. In this one evil ringmaster Shanks meets his equally nasty long lost twin. My favourite character is Billy who take on the twins and is the hero of the story.

I loved this book. It is about a circus master who is a villain and he meets his twin who is as bad as him. The storyline is great and funny. Billy is a young boy who is the hero, all the characters are great.
It leads you on a big adventure with lots of great illustrations. Can't wait to read the next book

i really liked this story it was very funny, there were some words that i struggled with but my mum said that is how u learn and that it is ok to struggle with new words.
this book is part of a series but you do not have to read them in order (i havent and i understood the story)
i would recommend to boys and girls aged 8 plus (some words will be a bit too tricky for younger readers)

I loved this book ( and I'm a parent in my 40s!!).  Centred around circus capers and sibling rivalry between the Shank brothers it is genuinely funny enough to make adults laugh.  Full of characters with brilliant names (Ewan Hoozarmy as just one example) and exaggerated situations this book is a real page turner.  There was reference to a previous book within the pages but it was an easy read as a stand alone and the ending is such that most readers will definitely want to buy the next in the series to see what follows.  Jam packed with little quirky asides and comical illustrations this book is a must read.  Highly recommended!
