This book is honestly amazing. I absolutely enjoyed reading it and I couldn't put it down. I finished it in two hours. Blue is my favourite character because of his genuine support towards Carey. He helps her get through tough situations. All of the characters seem so real and this book relates to things that go on. Today such as cyber-bullying and losing friends. Overall I loved this book.

LOVED this book. It didn't grab my attention the first few  pages which made me not want to carry on reading but that was a mistake because when i read on a few more pages weeks later,i found i didn't want to put it down.
It's a great story of some everyday issues that high school children can face.
I definately recommend this book.

An absolute page turner! From the very first page, I was drawn into the dramatic life of Carey Logan as all she knows is ripped away from her. As her life begins to spiral out of control she has to keep strong and just deal with it all instead of letting the pain get to her. Her best friend Amelia was sent some death threats and the Police all think it was Carey when it wasn't. Trying to prove her innocence Carey questions to ones she has known her entire life, including friends and family. One trail of clues leads to another and you can find yourself totally convinced one person is the culprit, but then it turns out it not, and then it goes back to the beginning again. A thrill of a read that I just could not put down. After finding out who SweetFreak really was I could hardly believe it! I am just happy that it all turned out fine in the end and that Carey and Blue got a happy ending. Honestly, one of the best books I have read in awhile, totally relatable and a great read.

'SweetFreak' was another good read by British author Sophie McKenzie, although I didn't love it as much as I was hoping to. I found it a fairly quick read and finished it in one sitting. It had a fair amount of drama, but it wasn't as tense or as gripping as other YA novels that I've read lately. Please don't take that to assume that I didn't enjoy it, I did, but I've also read better edge-of-your-seat thrillers than this.

When Carey's best friend Amelia starts getting bullied online my someone under the online pseudonym, Sweetfreak, Carey is accused after the messages are traced to her IP address by the police. Facing serious charges she freaks out and despite pleading her innocence isn't believed by anyone, even as she tries to prove it.

Rose, a popular girl at school and her clones soon offer each girl separate shoulders to cry on but can they trust them?

Taylor, Amelia's ex also starts to turn his wavering girl based attention on Carey and she gets swayed into a brief kiss with him but it turns out he's hiding secrets that she needs to figure out right now!

Nattersnap is how messages got sent starting the bullying, its also since added fuel to the fire of all these friendships and relationships.

Amelia then goes missing and while Carey knows she and her friend upset her sister recently maybe the answer has been staring her in the face all along as to whom Sweetfreak is...

After Carey starts her mission to prove her innocence, she gets caught up in becoming a runaway, befriending homeless strangers and a police wanted girl. She deals with tough situations which in real life can have catastrophic outcomes on anyone. We see both sides of the story from victim and bully, allowing us to get a full view of how both feels and how they are effected by their actions. Not only a great book on the issue of bullying and ever growing social media issues but its a great mystery by a well established queen of that category. I've loved Sophie McKenzie's writing since I was twelve and now ten years on, am still never disappointed by her books.

Hannah really enjoyed this as it is quite current and reassures People about friendships in this era.   It relates to cyber bullying & friendships etc which children need to be aware of so it is good that it is incorpated in the storyline.
Hannah is in senior school and has definitely found friendships are different so it has given her comfort

This book is brilliant! The best thing about it is that it is so relevant to modern day life, where cyber-bullying is on the rise. Carey's troubles with police, school-friends and boys are issues that happen all too often in life. The story is amazing, providing a fantastic insight into the troubled lives that a lot of teenagers have, and making you think twice about whodunit. You also empathise for the victim, and, unexpectedly, the bully, as well as realising how much small things can mean to some people.
