Cardboard Box Creations
Authors: Lonely Planet , Laura Baker
Really well presented, the book sits inside a cardboard stack thats filled with sweet cardboard accessories to use with the projects inside the book.  The projects are varied, and would inspire even the least creative of people to get involved.  We were pleased that the instructions are really clear and easy to follow.  We really liked the drawings and photographs inside the book as they help the user see the end result which is always helpful with such big creative projects.

Super sweet and an essential book for all those who have ever played inside a cardboard box!!  (great for teachers too!!!)

Dave the Lonely Monster
Author: Anna Kemp Illustrator: Sara Ogilvie
We wanted to read this book because we were instantly drawn to the wonderfully colourful from cover illustrations of Dave the Lonely Monster with a rock guitar!! It's really well illustrated with plenty of detail to explore on each page.  It's a lovely rhyming story about a monster who has been banished away due to other peoples fears about monsters and their desire to live in peace.  Dave soon becomes lonely and its easy to feel sad for Dave, and for children to understand how he is feeling.  To make things worse, some people come along who are cruel to Dave, but along the way, Dave makes a friend, and eventually this new friend stands up to the others to protect Dave! Very nice story, and one we will read again!

Happy Birthday, Boris!
Author: Sam Lloyd Illustrator: Sam Lloyd
Another great story all about Boris!! We absolutely love the interactive puppet feature of the book, it makes it so much fun and the children can't help but feel more involved with the story.  It's great to be able to relate to a story, and having a story all about a birthday is fantastic - everyone has one and celebrates in some way.  My husband has taken this book to read to his EYFS class, and they loved it too!

It's funny and silly, sweet and interactive (there's also presents to open too!)

Oi Duck-billed Platypus!
Author: Kes Gray Illustrator: Jim Field
Another great book in the series.  I highly recommend any parent or EYFS teacher owns the entire series!

Although this one wasn't my favourite, it rhymes what the animal sits on with their first name rather than their animal name.  For example....claire, niamh, paul etc.  which didn't have the same educational element as the other one, teaching us animal names too!

But the illustrations are wonderful, and the ending is funny!
