Farm Sounds
Author: Sam Taplin Illustrator: Federica Iossa
This book is a lovely sound book, much better than others we have had. The sounds are very realistic and instead of the chunky buttons on the side you usually see the buttons are incorporated in the pages and you simply run your finger over them to make them work. Little hands can do this easily. It has been designed cleverly and isn’t chunky like you’d expect it to be. You also have an on/off switch on the back which is a handy feature! The pictures are lovely and vibrant. The pages have little peep holes and cut out sections to feel too. Best sound book that I’ve seen and it impresses others who have seen it too.

Ted's Shed Phonics Reader
My daughter really enjoys the rhyming in this book and repeats phrases back to me. Easy to read and follow the story. It also gave a couple of pull out pages. My daughter loves finding the yellow duck on each page too.

Easter Bunny Flap Book
Author: Sam Taplin
My daughter had this last year for Easter and I would say it fitted her age group well then (1 years old). However, she’s recently found it and has enjoyed reading it every night for the past week. It’s a nice simple story where you have to find the eggs which the Easter bunny has hidden with the flaps inside the book. My daughter likes to count the eggs on the last page. Nice and simple but great for Easter!

Complete Luxury Farmyard Tales
My daughter loves these stories and we read them regularly at bedtime. She knows the characters names as each stories starts with introducing them so she likes to point them out especially Rusty the Dog! They are sweet stories based on the farm and the pictures are lovely too. There is a rubber duck to find on each page which we usually do after we’ve read the two pages. My daughter likes to look through the book and talks through the pictures which shows how much of the story she picks up. These will be read over and over for years to come I expect!

Peep Inside Space
Author: Anna Milbourne Illustrator: Simona Dimitri
Factual and fun, we love the peep inside range. My daughter loves the flaps and it’s well designed - you can even dress the astronaut! Brilliant!
