Pig the Pug
Author: Aaron Blabey Illustrator: Aaron Blabey
Great story book and the illustrations are just hilarious, don't think my daughter's laughed so loud at pictures before! Frey really loved the quote "pig flipped his wig" and the important message about sharing is just brill. We can't fault it and will be looking for the others in this series for more laughs at bedtime :)

Jingle Spells
Author: James Brown
Really great idea combining the holiday occasions all children love best- Christmas and Halloween! We follow Trixie- a determined young witch who sets out to prove not all witches should be on the naughty list. Wonderful detailed illustrations which my girls loved but overall we felt that the story got a bit muddled and rushed in places... although it did help us get in the festive mood!

Snowball
Authors: Sue Hendra , Paul Linnet
Superato and Cake are my daughters favourite books so we were both eager to read what Hendra and Linnet had come up with next and it definitely didn't disappoint! We follow a Snowballs journey down a hill with laugh out loud adventures, rhymes and wonderful accompanying illustrations. A new favourite and perfect for the festive season, we loved it.

Busy Halloween
Author: Louise Forshaw Illustrator: Louise Forshaw
Lovely book that fits in perfectly into the "Busy" series. The vibrant colourful pictures and interactive activity makes my girls want to read this again and again and the short rhyming sentences are memorable and catchy for them. We especially liked the extra questions on each page that my 4 year old could answer and it was lovely to watch my 1 year old work the pull flaps. No doubt we will be reading this even more as it gets closer to Halloween, thanks Toppsta.

Jane Foster's Halloween
Author: Jane Foster Illustrator: Jane Foster
Saw this at the library and being big Jane Foster fans we had to borrow it! Like all her books, it's nice and chunky- perfect for little hands and with the amazing illustrations my girls were really entertained. My eldest loved reading the words (and pictures) to her sister and its really got us in the mood for Halloween.
