A Very Corgi Christmas
Author: Sam Hay Illustrator: Loretta Schauer
A very Corgi Christmas appealed to all 3 of my children, they loved the dog theme and my older two had fun spotting the London landmarks littered throughout the beautiful illustrations in the book.
Belle the Corgi lives in Buckingham palace, she loves Christmas and goes on a trip around London.
It’s a lovely light hearted festive story, it has plenty of pictures to discuss with younger children and has simple enough wording for emerging readers to tackle themselves.

The Deep 1: Dragon Rider
Author: Finn Black
My Son (6) thought this book was really exciting, it helped that he’d seen the series on tv so he couldn’t wait to dive into the book.
Ant is his favourite character, he thinks he’s really adventurous and brave.
He enjoyed the story and thought it was really good and made him want to read more about things under the sea.
My son liked the pictures throughout the book but he thought there should have been a few more.
If you like stories full of action and adventure then this is a book for you.
All in all a great story and my child would like to see more in the series.

Rory Branagan (Detective)
Author: Andrew Clover Illustrator: Ralph Lazar
My son really enjoyed this book, he found it a lot less daunting because of all the illustrations throughout.
He found it really funny and he found the story so gripping he didn’t ever want to put it down.
We will  definitelybe looking out for more in the same series.

100 Dogs
Author: Michael Whaite
We all loved this charming rhyming story about dogs. My boys are dog crazy at the minute and loved looking at all the colourful illustrations as I read the story to them.
We felt it was fun and simple, perfect for snuggling up together and having a giggle.

My Holiday Drawing Book
Authors: Lonely Planet , Gillian Johnson
This book is excellent for developing drawing and doodling skills from looking at perspective to perfecting forever cool  bubble writing, this book had somthing for everyone to try. I think this will be perfect on long holiday journeys and Filling in “bored” moments whilst on holiday.
We loved the quality of the book with its hardback cover and lovely soft pages that had great easy to follow illustrations and instructions printed on them.
