Topsy and Tim are always finding fun adventures in the real world, and this story is reassuring for young children having first experiences of their own. Topsy and Tim join the local football club. Along with their friends, they practice their skills, including dribbling a ball around cones. Then they play a proper game. It's so much fun that Topsy and Tim want to play football every day! Children who are starting to be interested in football will love to read about all the details of the club.

My daughter has really begun to love Topsy and Tim. She has a my original copies from when I was little. I used to love Topsy & Tim when I was her ages so I'm now really pleased she's enjoying it too. We reserved this one from our library as my daughter has just started a football club. I thought it would be something she could relate to. She really enjoys in and asks for it to be repeated. Topsy and Tim books are great for preparing a child for something or helping them understand why things are done. A great fun way to learn about different topics though characters they grow to love. I do prefer the illustrations from my original copies but that's just because that's what I grew up with. They have fast become my daughter's new favourite. She loves that there's a little activity in the back of the book too.

Great book for children of different ages. My 1yr old and 4yr old loved it.

Helps children understand the importance of sharing, playing together nicely and taking part in a game is all that matters, not winning.

Highly recommend. Children can easily relate to Topsy and Tim as characters.

Good, short read before bed
