A great action packed book with a 14 year old teenage hero.  Alex Rider is a normal school boy until his guardian dies and he is catapulted into a life of mystery, intrigue and adventure.  The action is fast and furious as Alex goes on the trail of the 'bad guys' and foils their plans.  The first of a series of books this is a great read.

A great action packed book that my son loved reading. He has read other books by Anthony Horowitz and likes his style of writing. This book didn't disappoint and was filled with exciting action from the start. Perfect for my bond loving 11 year old.

I am a big fan of Anthony Horowitz and this book did not disappoint. I liked all the action and mystery in this book. I liked that I could really relate to the main character, and he got to do so many cool things. The book is fast paced, and I read it really quickly as I couldn't put it down. The text and length of the book are both good and I really like the cover design. I have since read some more books in the series and I like them just as much.

I ABSOLOUTLY loved this book! Could not put it down from the first day I picked it up from my school library. Alex Rider is the same age of me in this book but I could never imagine myself doing all the stuff Alex does. He parachuted and crashed into the Science Museum then like saved the day! Action packed and full of adventure Storm Breaker is hands down totally AWESOME!

i didn't think that the Alex Rider series would be a set of books that would tickle my fancy. Well, I was absolutely wrong. Alex Rider Stormbreaker is one of the best books i have ever read. It grabs your attention and pulls you inside the book into a world of adventure. It was almost impossible to put down. I loved this book because of the tension and suspense that makes you read on, and never stop

An epic start to a brilliant series.
Alex Rider is fourteen years old. He lives with his uncle due to the unfortunate death of his parents. However, one day, his uncle goes on a business trip, and dies in a car crash. "He wasn't wearing a seatbelt" Alex is told. But why wouldn't he wear a seatbelt? Alex's uncle is always super careful, and is always instructing Alex to put his seatbelt on. And there is something strange about his uncle's boss, Mr Blunt. Why does he always carry a gun with him? And why is his uncle's car covered in bullet holes?
Alex's life is about to change...
An action-packed book with an amazing storyline. A must-read for everyone.

I really enjoyed this book, I didn't want to stop reading, I always wanted to know what happened. There are some good action parts of the story and an aspect of mystery, where at the end of the book the whole story comes together and you think, that's how it happened!

I haven't read any other of these books but that didn't matter. I look forward to reading more from this author

This book immediately caught my attention, because it had elements that really interest me.

When Alex Rider's uncle gets killed mysteriously, a spy agency recruits him as a teenager spy. While Alex is in training, he learns that his uncle was a spy too, and that he was assassinated by a Russian man called Yassen Gregororich. When a suspiciously behaving man in London, makes a new type of computer called 'Storm Breakers',  the spy agency fears the worst. Alex's task is to prevent a national disaster by stopping the plot to put viruses into every UK computer.....

I enjoyed this book as it had real life culture, also a surprising edge of mystery. As Alex tries to explore the death of his uncle, Ian Rider, he gets stuck in various situations that hurt him both mentally and physically. I would recommend this book for boys or girls, but would suggest of an age of around ten years old, as some scenes were very descriptive and a bit violent, and this may cause upset or scare younger readers.

This was an exciting action packed read, I would recommend this for competent readers of about age 11. I read this to my daughter who found the story fascinating. An introduction for her to spy books  with Alex being a mini James Bond. Definitely will be looking out for others in this series

I thought this was a really exciting book.  It is quite different to anything I have read before and I loved the real life elements to the book.  It was exciting all of the way through and I can definitely see me reading it again.  I would love to read the next book when it comes out.  I found it easy to read with just a few words that I needed a little bit of help with.
