    Anthony Horowitz Biography
    Anthony Horowitz is one of the most successful UK writers working across many media - books, TV series, plays, films and journalism. Anthony has written over 40 books including the bestselling teen spy series Alex Rider, which he adapted into a movie that was released in 2006. The Alex Rider series has sold 19 million copies worldwide. Anthony has also written The Diamond Brothers series and The Power of Five.

    Born in Middlesex on 5th April 1955, as a child Anthony enjoyed reading books from his father's library and when he attended boarding school from the age of 8 he entertained his schoolmates with stories that he'd read. He developed a love for writing in his teens and graduated with a degree in English Literature and Art History from the University of York.

    Anthony now lives in London with his wife and they have two sons.

    Anthony was awarded an OBE for his services to literature in January 2014.

    He has been a patron to East Anglia Children’s Hospices and the anti-bullying charity, Kidscape, since 2008.
