Strange things always seem to happen when Harry Potter is around. Things that unsettle his guardians, the Dursleys. They strongly disapprove of strangeness. It's only when a letter arrives, delivered by a shaggy giant of a man called Hagrid, that Harry learns the truth that will transform his entire future: his parents were killed by the evil Lord Voldemort, and he, Harry, is a wizard.

Whisked away to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, Harry discovers a world of enchantments, ghosts, Quidditch, and friends who will stand, through everything, by his side. But when Harry hears of a stone with great powers, he finds that his school has its own dark secrets - and an adventure that will become the stuff of legend begins.

These adult editions with glorious jacket art by Andrew Davidson are now available in hardback for the first time.

I really loved this book because of all the wizardry and magic. The characters are specifically picked to make this book as realistic as possible. Even though Harry is treated really badly but wonderous things are in line for his future. One of my favourite scenes is when Harry is going to the station but he cant find the platform 9 and three quarters. But when he sees other people running at full seed through a post and disappear, he cant believe what he saw. But finally, someone goes with him through there and on the other side was the train. This book is very descriptive and is jam-packed with wizardry. From the moment Harry walked into a magical school called Hogwarts, he already made enemies. I like how even though Harry is very new to the magical world, he gets the hang of it and make two very close friends: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.

This was an excellent book, like all the other ones in the series! It was so enticing and interesting, I couldn't put it down!
It's an intriguing story. I feel that J.K Rowling should be rewarded!
The characters seem so well thought out. If they were snobby, they stayed snobby. If they were curious, they would live up to their title.
It would make anyone wish they were part of the mystery and magic!
