The Deep 1: Dragon Rider
Author: Finn Black
I really liked watching this series on tv so was very happy to get this book. I love fishing and anything to do with the sea, and this book was great, with lots of details and facts about the ocean and the creatures that live in it. The story was full of action, and I read it very quickly for me. I like the illustrations, and the book was a good length. I like that the characters were the same as those on the tv programme, and Ant is my favourite character, because he is funny and clever. I can't wait to read more of these books.

Road to the World Cup (Ultimate Football Heroes)
Authors: Matt Oldfield , Tom Oldfield
I love this book, and read it when the world cup was on, which I think added to the excitement. Pogba is one of my favourite players, so loved reading about him, also about Harry Kane and Christiano Ronaldo. I would love to read more of these books, as I really love football and they are not too long to read either.

Collins Children's Dictionary: Learn with Words
Author: Collins Dictionaries
I think this dictionary will be very useful for me, to help me with my spellings. I like the way it tells you if there is a different way of spelling the same word, such as “tail” and “tale ” this is good because I sometimes struggle with my spelling. I like that there is pictures inside and I like that it is not too big so it will fit in my school bag. It also says if the word is a noun, verb or adjective, this will also help me with my exciting writing at school. There is a whole section at the back of the book explaining lots of English terms, and some really good tips to help me more with my spellings. It may be good to offer this book with a dyslexic friendly text as I find this easier to read.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
Author: J. K. Rowling
Wow, what a book, definitely one of my all time favourites. The world JK Rowling creates is breathtakingly exciting, everything, the storyline, the characters the world it is set in, is so well written that it is all too easy to imagine you are at Hogwarts ( the school for witches and wizards) yourself. This book is a classic, a must read, and not just once but over and over again. Perfect for independent readers, and also great to read aloud at bedtimes. All my children love this book too.

Supersaurs 1: Raptors of Paradise
Author: Supersaurs Limited
My son is a reluctant reader but once he actually started reading this, with lots of encouragement, he really enjoyed it. I think the app that came with it also helped. The illustrations are lovely but the book looks a little intimidating because of the size. I think this is one of the reasons it took my son a while to get started with it. A great book for age 9 plus, especially dinosaur fans.
