Meet Supertato! The caped potato superhero fighting to save the world from arch-villain - the Evil Pea. Can Supertato foil his nemesis’ many plots to wreak chaos in the supermarket? Whether it is the supermarket sports day, hide and seek in the aisles or Carnival time for the vegetable friends, Supertato is determined to save the day. When the chips are down, Supertato is there for you, but things can get hairy when veggies go bad…

The Supertato books are hilarious and fun-filled adventure stories, packed with bright and bold illustrations. Children and adults alike adore the wacky Supertato characters. Kids love searching for the Evil Pea lurking in the supermarket aisles and the silly humour in the stories. Adults love the fact that children are introduced to new vegetables, not to mention the fact that the books are great fun to read aloud!

Written and illustrated by award-winning British husband and wife team Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet, the bestselling creators of Barry the Fish with Fingers I Need a Wee and Norman the Slug with the Silly Shell , these books are firm family favourites up and down the country as shown by the many 5* reviews from Toppsta readers below. Supertato also had his own World Book Day book in 2016 - Hap-pea Ever After.

The six-book series is very popular with preschool and Reception aged children and the Supertato books are often used in lessons at school as the stories are great for sparking little imaginations. You can find plenty of Supertato activities online including, how to draw Supertato.

You can read the books in any order, although we recommend starting with book one to meet the characters. Like many Sue Hendra books, your children will want you to read Supertato again and again and the books are perfect for fans of picture books like Oi Frog.
