The fabulous new character from Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet , the bestselling, award-winning creators of Barry the Fish with Fingers , I Need a Wee and Supertato!

Norman the Slug is looking for a perfect shell-but can he find his match? Find out in this "fantastically bold and fun picture book that will teach children the importance of accepting who you are" ( Junior News and Mail ).

Norman is a slug who longs to be a snail-if only he could find the perfect shell! He tries a tennis ball, an apple, and even an alarm clock but none of them feels quite right. Until one day, Norman stumbles upon a doughnut! What could be better than that? But is that sweet shell really the perfect fit?

Perfect for fans of Oi Frog!

A very silly book about a jealous slug. We liked the pictures showing all the shells that Norman tried out, and thought the story was very funny. We are looking forward to Norman's next adventure!

This book is great for any fans of Barry the Fish with Fingers! We felt very sorry for Norman the slug who dreamed of having a shell as he watched the other snails. Norman is very brave and will do almost anything to make his dream come true!

My daughter loves this book I bought it yesterday and think I'm already into double figures; I have read it so many times.  She loves funny stories but I have never heard or seen her laugh at a book as much as this. She loves it when Norman puts the different items on his back and pretendsides it's a shell. But her favourite part is when he flies with underpants for wings ; she thinks this is amazingly funny. The illustrations are  super cool they're bright and really colourful and are very cute. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book is really fun and silly. My son loves this book so much he has me read it to him every day.

Norman wants to fit in with the snails so he goes on a quest to find a new shell.
Lots of pictures and not too many words.

I picked up this book mainly because we had read Keith and loved it and so thought that we would give this a go and it doesn't disappoint!

The ending is particularly brilliant, especially when pants are hilarious!

Anything with pink doughnuts and slime in is guaranteed to make a 3 year old laugh. Bright pictures, great story and a good book to read aloud and do different voices with a parent! My only criticism is the end page- without giving anything away my daughter always asks "how did Norman fly into the sky?" And I have to make something up as I have no idea myself.

Having loved many other Sue Hendra books we were excited about bringing this one home from the library. Same great bold colourful illustrations,  but the storyline not as engaging as others e.g. the Barry fish fingers/robot nobot/I need a wee. We read it once and my 3 year old wouldn't let me read it again!
