Horrible Histories superstar author Terry Deary has cooked up some hilariously funny historical fiction set in the Stone Age for readers aged 7+. 

Travelling back to up to 17,300 years ago, each book in this hysterically comical series is set in a different part of the world. From Lascaux, France to Mesopotamia and even Scotland, we meet different children from the Stone Age, each facing their own challenges, which sometimes are not too dissimilar to those readers may be facing nowadays. Well, except for proving you're the best hunter and providing meat for a whole tribe!

The series is perfect for Key Stage 2 and each tale is based on real historical and archaeological evidence. And if you want more historical fiction from this knee-slappingly funny author, we highly recommend the Historical Tales Series, too.
