From the world's NUMBER ONE STORYTELLER, James and the Giant peach is a children's classic that has captured young reader's imaginations for generations.

For a limited time only, this new 2018 edition of James and the Giant Peach comes with novelty fuzzy stickers, shaped like the giant insects who travel on the peach!

James Henry Trotter lives with two ghastly hags. Aunt Sponge is enormously fat with a face that looks boiled and Aunt Spiker is bony and screeching.

He's very lonely until one day something peculiar happens. At the end of the garden a peach starts to grow and GROW AND GROW. Inside that peach are seven very unusual insects - all waiting to take James on a magical adventure.

But where will they go in their GIANT PEACH and what will happen to the horrible aunts if they stand in their way? There's only one way to find out . . .

"A true genius . . . Roald Dahl is my hero" - David Walliams

Sweet! "James went on amazing adventures, there was a big peach in it that grew and grew and sailed away! That was very silly, very amazing. The centipede was proud of being a pest, which was funny. Who would want to be a pest!? It taught you not to be nasty to people and never give up. It was ridiculous and very fun, it made me want to read and read and read and read! And read!" Kikki age 6
She really couldn't put this book down, a great read!

Read this recently with my daughter and I enjoyed it this time more than ever. We enjoyed how James managed to escape his horrible and aunts and enters the giant peach where he makes friends with talking insects. It's a short story compared to the rest so great for sharing.

This is another fantastic Roald Dahl book full of adventure and fantasy. The main character James escapes the care of his horrible aunts as he goes on his travels inside a giant peach. My daughter read this at school, home and we've listened to it on audio. Well worth a read sparking great excitement and imagination to young and old alike.

My son is loving this book so much he has taken to reading it in the morning before he comes out of his room! I am also looking forward to reading a couple of chapters at night, it's so lovely to delve back into the world of Dahl and be transported into James' world with my son. The other characters are wonderful too and we've been enjoying making funny voices!

My 3 girls are big fans of Roald Dahl and love reading/listening to his stories, it feeds their imagination! I read them a few chapters of James and the Giant Peach each night at bed time. They loved the fantastically  unique vocabulary of Roald Dahl and enjoyed looking at the illustrations by Quentin Blake. Such a brilliant story which take any child on a magical adventure!

Who cannot fail to love a Roald Dahl book? fabulously written to ensnare the imagination of all ages, this book tells the tale of James, who has two dreadful aunts who arent at all pleasant to him, he escapes to a strange world incased inside a giant peach, grown at the bottom of his garden. Full of mystical and strange creatures, James begins to explore this new world in the hope that he wont have to return to his own miserable one. Full of Roald Dahls imitable personality and terminology, and book to be loved by all ages, and treasured for years to come. My Twins absolutely loved it and cant wait for the next RD book!

As you would expect from Dahl, this story transports you off on a magical journey with talking bugs, and where good triumphs.  My 6 year old enjoyed having this read to him, but was also able to read independently too - great to see him take himself off with a book!  A real opportunity for imagination to be fired up with talking bugs and travel by giant peach!!

Ellie loved reading this book, she loves Roald Dahl books so was excited to add this to her collection. One thing she really loved about it was the cute, funny rhymes in it and she loved all the different insect characters one of her favourite being Miss Spider. This is an excellent read for young children, you can't really go wrong with a Roald Dahl book.

Amazing book by Roald Dahl.
This story is about  boy named James who lives with his horrible aunties. James finds a big peach growing in his garden and inside the peach are different insects. The insects take James on an adventure away from his horrible aunties.
Very funny and really well written.
I would recommend this book to everyone because everyone should read Roald Dahl books because they are fantastic.

Roald Dahl really does write classics that span generations and James and The Giant Peach is no exception.  James manages to escape from his wicked aunts and goes on his travels in a giant peach!  Great imagination, it opens the child's mind to a wonderful world of make believe, highly recommended.

As is the case with most Roald Dahl books, having this book read to him at bedtime was the highlight of my son's bedtime routine. He would get ready for bed super quick just so we could try and read more than one chapter each night. He loved this book and so did I, it reminded me of when I read it as a child and brought back fond memories of how excited I used to be reading books. The story starts of a little sad and can be quite harsh for younger children but the way it progresses and ends makes up for it. Definitely a book to read with your children.

I really enjoy diving into the world of Dahl, it's always such an adventure.  As an adult, Dahl wrote so that children can read the books, and understand them, but also so that parents could join in too, and enjoy them as well!!  I was worried at first that I would think this book would be scary - with the bad aunts, and scary creatures, but it actually wasn't scary, it made me realise to be kind to bugs as they could be our friends.
James is a very likeable character, and his bug friends can be very silly, but likeable, and they take James on some adventures.
I really love the Quentin Blake illustrations, they suit the book so well (as with every Dahl book) and really bring the characters to life!!! And the fuzzy stickers are a lot of fun too. Recommended to my friends at school ..

I remember reading this as a child and recently re-read it as a bed time story book to my 5 year old son. I wanted to see if my son really listens and thought lets read a longer bed time story book and see if he remains interested and can recall the story given it will be read over a period of a week or two (few chapters each night).

We finished the book within 10 days and he loved every second of it. It kept him focused all the way through. Every night he said "please mum a few more pages!" This story kept him gripped to want to know what happens next and he was laughing out loud so much. Dahl's writing is brilliant and i loved reading this out loud to my son.

Got this a while back for my nephew ‘up north’ so only just had chance to feedback his thoughts on it.  I think he may have been just a bit too old for it as he said it was a too babyish for him! (I fear a moody teenager is on the horizon). I had previously read Dahl books to all my boys as they were growing up and we all loved his quirky style and sometimes dark humour. So as a review I’d say the book is a great, fun read but perhaps I made a poor choice for the nephew!

I never liked this story as a child but My little boy is autistic and likes books that challenge his imagination and require him to stay focused, so i gave it a go for him.  Reading it to him I suddenly got it and began to enjoyed it. My son loved the idea of escaping from evil into the peach. it is wacky fun that allows a child to explore a world of imagination. My 10 year old daughter read is alone and she also enjoyed it she found it "funny and unusual" .
