The Enormous Crocodile is planning what to have for his lunch. This foul fiend - the greediest croc in the whole river - wants to eat something juicy and delicious. His teeth sparkle like knives in the sun and he's getting hungrier and hungrier. But what can the greedy grumptious brute guzzle up?
Beware - he's looking for someone . . . someone who looks a lot like YOU! Listen to THE ENORMOUS CROCODILE and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy soundeffects from Pinewood Studios! Look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! inspired by the revolting Twits.

The Enormous crocodile is a amazing book by Roald Dahl . The character i like the most is the not so big crocodile because he tries to persuade the Enormous crocodile not to go out of the river and forest to eat the children. My favourite part is when Trunky the elephant spins the enormous crocodile round and round and then let`s go and the enormous crocodile sizzles up like a sausage in the flaming, burning sun.

I remember reading this book as a child and loving it so I decided to read it to my Year 1 class. They were hooked! With no pictures, something they are not used to, they listened to every word and enjoyed the story so much that they kept asking for more and groaned when we had to stop reading and go to lunch! They all clapped when the book finished and the greedy crocodile got what he deserved! I highly recommend this book to primary aged children, it will not only capture their imaginations but a long love of reading too :)

My animal loving little boy loved this book, he could listen to it every night. Crocodile wants to leave the river to find children to eat. He has clever tricks and plans, but the other animals have there own fun ways of stopping him. My little boy loves elephants so that was his favourite bit. A really fun story.

My very favourite of Roald Dahl's book. We have numerous copies in our house and yet it gets chosen to be brought home from the library. I still have my own childhood copy too. Carefully constructed, yet effortless to read aloud. The story reads itself without a stumble. The characters are perfect for different voices when reading aloud. My girls fight over which of the characters they want to be. Matched with Quentin Blake's lively pictures it's great for a bedtime story to last for a few nights. Saying that, my 5-year old has decided to tackle it herself. She is especially keen on the crocodile getting sizzled up like a sausage at the end (sorry for the spolier) Full of moral discussion opportunities and 'what would you do?' moments. Love Love Love IT!

The Enormous Crocodile is one of the shorter stories by Roald Dahl, with plenty of great illustrations throughout that make it appealing to younger children. The storyline about an enormous greedy crocodile planning to eat children sounds sinister but it's really very funny, at least Leo certainly thought so! He loved the crocodiles secret plans and clever tricks. The book also features some of Dahl's famously made up words and character names which Leo thought were great.

Its a book about a naughty crocodile who tries to eat children.
Little children might be scared, but I thought it was funny.
It was a quick read.
