Thomas loved this book. He said that having so many younger siblings and cousins he could really relate to the story and illustratations. He has asked him Mum to buy the other stories in this series for his birthday.

I loved this book, i thought it was absolutely hilarious and if i could point out one major flaw, it would be that i haven't read the previous books which i really wish i had! I will definitely be looking out for the previous titles now!

Once i sat down to read it, i just couldn't stop and ended up reading the book in one go. I loved the characters and i thought the plot was very entertaining. The illustrations were a great accompaniment, especially when it came to baby sick!!!

I'm not sure if it was because i hadn't read the previous books or because the writing was good but i loved that i didn't see the end coming. I thought the ending was great.

A laugh out loud book, with a hint of creepiness (Boffo in his crib!), fun for all ages!

I had been waiting for a new Hamish book to be published as I’ve really enjoyed the earlier books in the series. I wasn’t disappointed! The book is funny, the characters are interesting and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so all I can say is I really recommend this book to people who like David Williams or David Baddiel books.

Review by an 8 year old girl:

I liked this book, it was very funny. The best part was when all of the babies went berserk and Hamish and his crew worked out the special formula.
The characters were funny, and always looking to solve a mystery.
The book is an adventure mystery and I really recommend it, it is a good read!

I read this book with my mam and it was very funny in places because I have lots of little brothers and sisters so I could relate to some of the book.
I like Hamish and his friends.
I would recommend this book to children between 7 and 10 years old.
Danny Wallace is an excellent author.

This was tried by a nine year old boy, so right at the bottom end of the age recommendation. He's struggled to get in to it, because it's a bit hard for him and he's finding the chapters longer than he's used to and is not progressing very quickly.
It's probably just a bit too hard for him and not the fault of the book, but the story hasn't grabbed his attention to make him plough through a hard book. We only got two chapters in before it was abandoned. He does like the sparkly cover though!

I'd keep this for someone a bit older.
I've given three stars because I can't really give it a rating so went down the middle. Sorry.
