The second original, touching, twisted, and most of all hilarious novel for children from David Walliams, number one bestseller and fastest growing children's author in the country - beautifully illustrated by Quentin Blake.
"Mr Stink stank. He also stunk. And if it was correct English to say he stinked, then he stinked as well..."
It all starts when Chloe makes friends with Mr Stink, the local tramp. Yes, he smells a bit. But when it looks like he might be driven out of town, Chloe decides to hide him in the garden shed.
Now Chloe's got to make sure no one finds out her secret. And speaking of secrets, there just might be more to Mr Stink than meets the eye... or the nose.

What an amazingly beautiful story. Full of sorrow, love and laughter. Mr Stink is a man...a very smelly man...living on the streets after loosing not only the love of his life...his wife but his home too until a lonely little girl called Chloe befriends him and they have a wonderful adventure together. Chloe struggles with her home life and finds a very loyal friend in Mr Stink. He even gets to go on tv!! My daughter liked it when Chloe had moved Mr Stink into her family shed at the bottom of the garden and Mr Stink keeps order food particularly sausages as if he's staying in a hotel!! Also when he has a bath in the pond! This is a must read for not only David Walliams fans but for all bookworms!

The main character in this book, Chloe, is unhappy because her mother is very posh and makes Chloe do things she doesn't want to do. But when she meets Mr.stink, her life begins to change. She invites him to live in her shed and they both get up to lots of mischief...

I really enjoyed this book especially the parts that made me laugh out loud. Mr Stink was an extremely cool character, who may look like a tramp, but was actually very intelligent and well mannered. I enjoyed every part of this story, although I did not like it when Chloe's mummy was acting too posh and not being herself. The whole story taught me that we should not pretend to be someone else but we should just enjoy life and value the things we have. My 5 year old brother really enjoyed this story too and I think lots of children will love this awesome book written my David Walliams, who is one of my favourite authors!!! Brilliant book!!

I've spent the past week reading this to my 7 year old and he's absolutely loved it.
Mr stink is a very, very smell homeless man, he lost the his wife and house and as a result spends his days on a bench.
Chloe, a quiet lonely individual takes notice of me stink and plucks up the courage to talk to him. Chloe spends lots of time getting to know him.
I love how the characters are discribed in the book, it makes it really easy to imagine what they look like. The illustrations are perfect too!
This book explores lots of emotions, my son found most of it really funny but some parts quite sad. The moral at the end of the story is simple and clear and one that we can all agree with.
such a fantastic book!

After watching the film at Christmas, I decided to read the book to my twin cousins and I've gotta say, the book has so much more character than the film. There's so much more detail and it made my cousins laugh a lot. Kimberley said that she liked how Chloe didn't care that he smelt and just liked him for the way he was. Such a great message to be sending children.

This book is great! I love the beginning. Mr Stink Stank. It makes you want to read on! The book is about Chloe who lives with her really posh mum, her annoying little sister, and her dad who is hiding a secret. Chloe says hi to Mr Stink, a homeless man. And then they become friends. My favourite part is where Mr Stink is on tv. He is so funny! This is probably my favourite David Walliams book and the funniest. Raj is yet again in the story and trying to make anyone who comes into his store buy a stationary kit. I would definitely read this book again. Recommended to age 7+
