Holly is off on her first international Dadventure!

Dad's taking Holly on one of his travel-writing trips - to Malaysia! Holly can't wait to explore all the new sights, sounds and smells Asia has to offer. But Dad has other things in mind . . . Instead of exploring the jungles, he's busy making the most of the free spa and sticking Holly in the dreaded Adventure Club.

If Holly wants a real adventure, she's going to have to find it herself.

The third in the 'Dadventure' series, a perfect family story or read-alone for fans of David Baddiel and THE 13-STOREY TREEHOUSE.

I have read the incredible Dadventure and this book was even better. It is about Holly. Who wakes up in the morning to find her parents standing by her bed. Then they tell her that she is going to Malaysia with her Dad for five days. I like the part where Holly and hears that an Island is in danger. The book was really exciting and I couldn't put it down. i would recommend to anyone who has read the other books in the series or if you just want to try it. Age 6 plus would probably like this book.

Holly gets a surprise one day when her parents come into her room and give her a plane ticket to Malaysia. Holly and her dad are off together on their very own 'Dadventure'. Holly's dad needs to review a fancy hotel for his work and so they both go to Malaysia to see it. When they get there dad is more interested in the spa and the food than having a 'Dadventure' with Holly and she is stuck in the hotel's 'adventure club'. Holly realises that if she wants an adventure of her own she may have to just go and find it herself. She pleads with dad to leave the hotel and go and explore and when he agrees Holly meets a girl called Siti and her adventure finally begins.

Having previously read the first book in the series 'The Incredible Dadventure' we were already familiar with Holly and her family. We really enjoyed this book and love the black and white illustrations throughout the story. It was great fun to follow Holly on her very own adventure and we really want to read the other book in the series.

We loved this book. Different from many we have read before, just the right amount of danger and humour to keep a 6 year old entertained. Every single night he has wanted to read on. We will be reading the other two books in the series soon!

Holly is going on her first (not local this time) trip to Malasia! She's really excited as her dad works as a travel writer what nmeans that he always has great adventures. This time she will take part in one of them! However when they get there it seems like her dad has other things in mind like spending free time in the swimming pool or eating food in hotel's restaurant. It's too boring for Holly and she decides to look for adventures herself...

Another great book from Dave Lowe. It's funny, adventurous, dangerous and captivating. The book is easy to read and you won't put it down till you finish. This could be read aloud to younger children or is a great chapter book for more independent readers.
This book will defenitely inspire and motivate the young people to have their own adventures!

We haven't read any of the previous series but found we were able to jump straight in with this story as if there weren't any previous books.

When Holly finds out that she is off to Malaysia with her Dad she is really excited about her adventure, it is something she has dreamed about for a long time and cannot wait to see what a different country has to offer but when she gets there she finds herself in a children's club with annoying children and over friendly minders.
She is desperate to see what is outside the hotel but her dad is more interested in taking full advantage of the hotels facilities that he is there to review.

When Holly meets a local girl she finds herself starting her very own adventure.

A lovely book that I enjoyed reading with my son, we were able to immerse ourselves into the story and picture ourselves on her holiday.

This is the second book in the series that we've read and this is just as much fun as "The Incredible Dadventure".  This time though, Holly has her first foreign adventure when she joins her Dad on a trip to Malaysia.  With a bucket list from her class she heads off to find excitement and challenges galore.  After a false start in the gringeworthy adventure kids club at the hotel she stumbles upon the ultimate challenge when she gets involved in the fight to prevent a luxury hotel being built on "Monkey Island".
As before this book is packed with great illustrations (though my eagle eyed little one noticed that Holly's Dad was still wearing his bright shirt in the picture when they got to Monkey Island and he'd supposedly swapped it for a plain T-Shirt before they set out) and is roller coaster fun from start to finish.
