Five days, five tasks, no technology. How will Holly survive in the woods?

Holly's second 'dadventure' is a screen-free challenge - Mum has packed her and Dad off to a log cabin in Fir Forest for five days with NO technology. There are other people camping in the woods, though - Zeb and his show-off dad who are camping 'properly' in tents and fishing for their dinner. Holly's dad is treating her like a baby and being more embarrassing than ever, but Zeb and Holly soon hit it off and enjoy exploring the forest together. A few days in Zeb's dad goes missing, and they discover there is a bear on the loose from the local safari park. It's up to Holly and her new friend to work together, save the day and prove themselves to their fathers - all without their phones or any tech gadgets!

The second story in the 'Dadventure' series, a perfect family story or read-alone for fans of David Baddiel and THE 13-STOREY TREEHOUSE.

After receiving the 3rd book in the series in a Toppsta Giveaway, Alex was very keen to read the other two books.

The Mumbelievable Challenge is a great read and my son has really enjoyed the entire series of books. There is a a lot of humour in the books and my son really seems to enjoy it and we often giggle along.

This story sees Mum having enough and sending Holly and her Dad on a break away into the woods with no devices, finding their way to the cabin in the woods is part of the journey but once they arrive Holly has to adapt to finding alternative ways to pass the time and boredom. She comes across a boy Zeb and they seem to hit it off and find some similarities mainly that they both have embarrassing dads!

Zeb isn't in a cabin however he is camping with his dad, Hunter and claim they are right back to nature with absolutely no home comforts that is until Hunter disappears and Zeb calls upon Holly and her Dad to come to the rescue.

A heartwarming tale and lots of giggles along the way!

I read this book as a recommendation for a book group. It tells the story of a girl who goes to a cabin the woods with her dad for a few days to bond. The main rule is there no use of technology. Great idea for children nower days who are technology dependant.
Hollys mum sends her on the trip with her dad, along with an envelope of challenges to complete in order for Holly to come out of her comfort zone and explore the surroundings. While doing so Holly and her Dad meet another Dad who is camping with his son - Zeb, and they soon become friends. Add a bear escaped from a nearby zoo and it makes for a funny light hearted adventure story for children aged 6 upwards. Throughly enjoyable read.
